Dosing for Metformin for prostate cancer
I am sort of new to this site and have a question about dosing for Metformin for mestastatic prostate cancer. I am on Lupron now and am taking 50 mg of Metformin two times per day. I was given a Rx for it by my naturopath as my oncologist would not prescribe it. I am wondering if I should be taking

My story - so far
Hello fellow riders Thought I will update you on my status which might give some hope to newcomers and share data with others in similar positions. First a recap: Diagnosed April 2018 PSA 23 Gleason 9 , cancer escaped the capsule so no surgery for me. PET/CT PSMA found no distant/bone mets but several

Metformin for weight
Has anyone been given the drug Metformin to help the Cushing syndrome when on steroids? I know that at the moment it is trivial when life is as it is but I am bi polar and the weight gain is having a massive psychological effect on me. I exercise, walking and cycling as much as I can and I have consulted

Latest PSA whilst on Abiraterone
So, only a drop to 4.1 this month with T under 3. Previous months : 4.2, 6. 6, 12.9 Been on Abiraterone since January 2020. Also on Lupron, Metformin, and Lipitor. I'm a bit concerned that I'm already at a plateau with Abiraterone. I believe that I read on HU that chemos now may get the action of Abiraterone

Could a suppressed TSH be causing T3 to fall?
Hi, I've been stable for a while on 100mcg T4 +T3 12.5mcg then 10mcg (when it started to be prescribed we couldn't get 12.5mcg in uk) I've been starting to go off for about 9months. I felt well with my T3 around 6.2(3.1-6.8) and it's gradually been declining to now at 5.58. My t3 dose was lowered slightly

Who is Care Oncology & How Does it Help?
I thought this information would be helpful (pulled it from another site) for all of you who have not heard about these treatment options in addition to your traditional treatment. http://careoncology.com. Available in the US & UK. They have published a five-year study on GBM, an aggressive brain

He knows me very well this will be checks with bloods after a few months which I may have to do privately I’ll see

Blood sugar levels may influence vulnerability to coronavirus
By a researcher: But, it turns out, hydroxychloroquine might be able tolower blood sugar like metformin. Trying to Make Sense of Husbands Testosterone History and Wanting to Clarify Why a Doctor Feels He May Be Becoming CR.
I have been looking back at my husbands T numbers over his three year history of treatment and looking for thoughts after a doctor today made a comment Charlie is becoming CR and should try Provenge. Little history. T has always been low in Charlie. Usually below 300 for 15 years prior to being diagnosed

diabetes and letharjiness
am 60 + type 2 on metformin. Also hypothyroid and have undergone by pass. Though my sugar levels are somewhat under control(not fully--Hb1AC 9) my problem is laziness/depressive feeling particularlywhen it comes to go for bath. Is it due to diabetes or hypo thyroidism?

Metformin
Hi all I’ve recently been diagnosed with PCOS and have been prescribed Metformin. I was just wondering if anyone that has taken this before would recommend Metformin and whether you developed any adverse side affects? Thank you.
