The end
They found he has skull
metastasis
but that’s clearly been there longer and he’s been ok. He’s heavily sedated. I can’t help thinking. Should we stop the driver and will he wake up. We don’t want him in pain but I can’t believe I’ll not have another conversation with him again.

My colon cancer journey
To rule out lung
metastasis
, a CT guided biopsy was done on the largest lung nodule. The result was -ve for malignancy. I begun treatment in April. 25 sessions of chemo (xeloda 3300mg a day) plus radiotherapy. It went quite well until the 18 session when major fatigue kicked in.

Drinking green tea whilst on chemo?
Good morning ladies, I am wondering whether I can resume drinking green tea whilst I'm currently on taxotere? I've been a green tea drinker for a few years now but stopped when I started chemo as I'm certain I'd heard somewhere that it may inhibit the chemo. I have done a quick google search and it was

Progression - next possible treatment
Good morning ladies I’ve just checked on mumma hen and her two chicks 🐣🐣 all is well - they do get through their chick crumb and drink plenty.... Re. My progression, the letter arrived yesterday without the copies of my latest CT and MRI scan. However, the letter states the liver MRI has confirmed

Third Faslodex injections
Hi Ladies Just had my third injections of Faslodex today and from now on they’ll be monthly thank goodness...had bloods taken and my denosumab injection...lots of needles!! Anyway my markers have fallen for the first time in about 8 months so I’m hoping this is a good sign that it’s starting to work.

VEGF Inhibitors.
In osteosarcoma, it markedly inhibits

and invasion with little toxicity. The mechanisms involved in its invasion inhibition include the suppression of STAT3 and CXCR4 phosphorylation, as well as downregulation of VEGF, RANKL, MMP2, and MMP9 expression [131].

Recently diagnosed metastatic
Hello everyone I'm caroline, 39 and in the UK. July 2015 I was diagnosed with primary Her2 positive BC, had mastectomy, chemo, herceptin injections for 12 months, and radiotherapy, treatment ended Feb 2016 with NED. I had a bone scan just before lockdown here as I'd had the odd niggle of discomfort

Liver MRI Scan results
Hi ladies I’ve just had a call from the Oncologist and unfortunately he has confirmed that my liver MRI scan has shown a new growth in the liver measuring 2.5cm. He has advised that he will no longer prescribe me palbociclib as he has proven that it is no longer effective. He wants me to continue on

Xeloda
Hi everyone, I’m new here and I’m starting on xeloda in the next couple of days for my bc liver mets. I’ve been reading the threads on how well most people do with this drug. It’s really helped with my anxiety over changing meds. My plan is 14 days on 7 days off. I’ve read here that lots of ladies

On Xeloda- shortness of breath?
Just finishing the first cycle on Xeloda after “graduating” from years on Faslodex and Ibrance for mets to bone, now extending to liver. Have experienced a considerable uptick in shortness of breath starting on day 11 of 14 day dosage. Today (#13) I am truly feeling the stress of walking the slightest

Ibrance questions
Is there an alternative to ibrance? What is the longest amount of time someone's been on ibrance? Does it compromise quality of life? Does anyone know of any clinical trials for stage IV metastatic breast cancer, with estrogen positive bone only mets?

Ibrance - to start or not?
Hi everyone - I'm posting on behalf of my mom, Maria. She was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer in 2012, had a mastectomy and was put on tamoxifen (no chemo). We found out it came back in September of 2018. She currently has 2 tumors in her bone - t2 and l4 regions (only bone, no organs). She has

Zometa vs Xgeva
Hello everyone! I have not posted in a very long time. I had bone density test and the Letrozole has wreaked havoc on my bones. So I'm going to start bone strengthening injections-it will either be Zometa or Xgeva. I'm just wondering what anyone's experiences been with either of these drugs. As always
