Zofigo RA223 Seems To Be Working - PSA Still 9

Hello warriors:

I am about to have my third injection of Radium 223. So far so good. I have some fatigue but try to ignore it and press on with exercise, swimming, walking, lifting weights and playing golf. I think the Lupron and the 6 months of Chemo did more to the stamina than the RA 223.

My PSA is still 9 but my ALP has come down from 178 when I started my injections and now it is 58. Scans in another month.

My question is, have any of you had RA 223 and how many injections did you have and what were the results??? As always, we so appreciate all of your input and response.

God Bless You.

Tom

Great results! Many men get discouraged because it has little or no effect on PSA -one just lives longer, with less pain! I'm a fan of doing Provenge at the same time - I think they are synergistic- Xofigo improves presentation of cancer antigens, while Provenge amps up the immune system.

I just had my 3rd round of 6 planned. No side effects as far as I can tell. Some brain fog from 12 years of Xtandi has lifted, since I’m on an ADT holiday during Xfygo. I recently became castrate resistant, so the treatment plan will be chemo next, then Lu-177. (Here in the states, I believe they are requiring that you have done at least ADT & chemo first, using Lu-177 as a “Hail Mary” until enough can be produced to make it more available. )

Thanks Foldum:I think you are correct...

I just had the 4th of 6 Xofigo (Radium-223) injections last Wednesday. I feel like the pain from bone metastases is improving.

I have also undergone 15 External Beam Radiation Therapy EBERT treatments during the same period.

Thanks Diamondrm:Good news. What is your ALP???

It is back to around 200 from over 350 not too long ago. Bone density is still pretty good.

Thanks
