Does a big drop in PSA a month after the start of hormone treatment possibly represent a higher chance of cure?
Hi all, I have been researching and I have been wondering if big drops in PSA right after hormone treatment should give you more hope at a cure or if this does not change the situation at all? Father PSA of 226 dropped to 3 one month after Firmagon shot, and then 0.3 a month after that, and then 0.13

PSA doubled again within three months.
My psa has doubled yet again within three months and lung mets are growing in size, while they have only grown a few millimeters they are still growing. I have had all of the first course of treatment after the prostate was removed and have been on Lupron since 2018, Oncologist has now added Xtandi to

Xtandi already failing? How is this possible
hi everyone. My dad met with his new oncologist today. He consented to genetic testing so his bloodwork will be sent out in 6 weeks. His new PSA reading came back at 2.84. On February 7th, it was 1.94. He also got another lupron shot today and it’s been over three months since he received one, maybe

I am resistant of the Lupron treatment my Doc is going to propose next week. Am i wrong to be concerned? Is it no big deal? I just dont want people messing w my hormones. How big a risk am i taking, if i dont do it?

PSMAddition Phase 1/2 Results?
So my story seems to be evolving quickly. Last August with, psa around 1.4, a psma pet picked up an 8 mm lesion in my right lung and nothing else. Too small to biopsy. Everyone unsure what it was. In November my psa was stable at around 1.4 and a ct scan indicated the lesion was unchanged. Too small

Pain after intercourse
First I would like to thank all the people in this community for providing excellent advice and encouragement. I had radiation and Lupron in 2020, and my PSA has been good. Unfortunately, in February 2022, I had to be hospitalized due to bleeding in my colon. After receiving a couple of units of blood

An Important thing to know if considering Estrogen Therapy.
My experience using estrogen as my only form of ADT has been positive. However, when my psa started rising and I began to feel pain in my spine and pelvis my MO put me on Zometa (bone drug IV every 3 mo). Was it necessary? I have no idea. I now get mildly sick for about 36 hours after the infusion

Tired, sick-feeling, slightly unsteady?
Hi everyone! I have begun year two of treatment. Abiraterone, prednisone, Lupron, radiation. My PSA levels remain low and steady. However, for the last few weeks I have felt weaker than normal, slightly nauseated, and a little unsteady when walking. Pretty much all day long. Does anyone know if this

SARMs RAD 140 up date
Can any of you other car guys correctly identify The make, model and year of these cars from my collecting days? I think my record below from my profile shows that RAD 140 was clearly having a strong effect on my PSA. Your mileage may vary but I would strongly advise caution. 6/15/22 - 0.01

Symptoms when ADT no longer works?
Hello, everyone! I have begun year two of stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer and I have BRCA2. Taking abiraterone + prednisone daily and Lupron shots twice a year. I am doing my best to live one day at a time but wonder what things will look like when the cancer becomes resistant. Does anybody know?

Do you also have these symptoms?
Hi everyone! I've had stage 4 metastatic cancer with BRCA2 for a year now. Being treated with abiraterone and prednisone, Lupron twice a year, and had 28 radiation treatments in December 2022. I would like to know if others are experiencing the symptoms I am. Hot flashes and crying, due to Lupron.

Is it normal taking lupron shots and after awhile doesn’t work?
Writing for my husband, he had his prostate removed and after his first blood to test his psa , it wasn’t zero so the doctor wanted him to do radiation but he refused. Since his psa was raising he decided to take Lupron and at the beginning was working but his last psa it doubled. We don’t know if there

PSA and Images all stable for 4.5 years.
Tired of the side effects so with OK's from both of my MO's I started a vacation. Lupron and Zytiga stopped until either chemical or image progression shows up. The goal is to rebuild the lost muscle and possible lose some of the other SE's -Fatigue and brain fog being most annoying. My question is

PSA after 4-5 months on Lupron (Scholz)?
Just watched a Scholz (PCRI) video posted last week about PSA. He said multiple times that PSA should reach a nadir of <0.1 after 4-5 months on 1st generation ADT and that if it didn't "[i]something's wrong, that is an unusual type of prostate cancer that has some hormone resistance and studies over

ART TET Testosterone and the Prostate; the Myth

It also addresses what it calls; “The myth,” that testosterone is counter indicated for prostate cancer patients, both on active surveillance or in recovery. I continue to be amazed that this information has been

Triple Therapy
I started with Lupron+Abiraterone + Docetaxel. As I mentioned before elevated liver enzymes caused MO to place me on an Abiraterone vacation after cycle 1 of Docetaxel. Docetaxel was reduced to 3/4 dosage. Yesterday, I received my 3rd cycle of 3/4 dosage of Docetaxel, my 3 month injection of Lupron
