Afib Stroke Risk Lower in those that take Statins
Statin use is usually associated with a reduction of cholesterol and heart attacks, but a new study also shows an important additional benefit -- a significant reduction in strokes and TIA's in the Afib population. Something to discuss with your doctor if you're not already on statins, especially

Can anyone help?
I have purchased some Deep Heat muscle rub thinking it would help my aches and pains, but on the leaflet enclosed it states that people taking anticoagulants should not use it owing to the ingredients interacting with this medication. I take Warfarin. Does anyone know if there is a safe lubricant that

I donāt know if I am feeling this way due to my mood but I honestly feel like my
mental
health
has been affected due to the physical problems I am experiencing. I donāt know if itās down to the recent medication but Iāve lost my appetite somewhat too. 17th January 2024 ā update.

Warm sensation in anus
After some bowel movements I'll feel a warm sensation afterwards in the anus. No diarrhea, no straining, no hemorrhoids, no bleeding. Just a warmth in the anus and feels like it isn't relaxing perhaps Anyone else have this? What causes it?

issues. Recently, the
mental

problems have surpassed the physical matters but it's all related and horrible. I am married, have 3 adult sons, bla bla bla. Okay, that's the background. Here's my #1 problem and reason I am writing.

Calf Pain and PAD
Hi, I wasn't sure if this should be posted in a Diabetes forum or on here, after thinking about it I think that this BHF site is the better option. So Peripheral Arterial Disease. I had both Iliac Arteries 'bored' out with balloon angioplasty in May of this year (Left leg fully occulted and Right leg

I had heart bypass 2013 and pacemaker 2015 due to af and low hr. Then 3 years ago I started taking digoxin to lower high heart rates and it seemed to work. I have just been to Spain on holiday and ended up hospitalised 2 days due to chest pain and breathless all tests revealed no heart attack, echocardiogram

Overdosing bisoprolol- can anyone offer advice?
I donāt know whether it is where I live ( the NW) but I really struggle to get appropriate treatment. Anyway I picked up my meds on Saturday. Opened them in the car and noticed my bisoprolol was suddenly in 5 mg tablets not 2.5 mg. I went back into the pharmacy to be told that I have been on 5 mg tablets
