Define long life and what type of surgery?

I've friends who had heart surgery as babies/children that are in their 40s now. My grandad had a triple bypass at 59 and lived til his 80s.

I'm sure others will be along with their own experiences, but it would be useful if you could give a but more info.

My friends father had cabg x 5 aged 63 and lived until he was 93. He died of a non heart related condition.
