Insurance Denials for Treatment
Does anyone have experience with their insurance denying IOP or PHP treatment for
mental
health
? We’ve done the peer review process and that was denied. Now I’m doing a member appeals process but that can take 30 days.

Having OCD is a lot like listening to Mambo No. 5.
For whatever reason, I've always kind of struggled with traditional
mental
health
talk and therapy speak. Overly serious/polite/earnest stuff has never really resonated with me and I always wished there was stuff out there about OCD/
mental
health
that was a bit more irreverent/absurd/lighthearted.

Ross vs Mechincal valve
My son is going to be 21 in January and is on the list for his 4th open heart surgery. His last one was in 2013 where they performed the BROM. He has to decide between Ross or Mechincal. Both have pros and cons but and are higher risk as this will be his 4th but does he want to go Ross(15 to 20% risk

pretty bad during this time as I couldn't believe this was happening to me and felt as if I was going to have to live with this for the rest of my life. Started seeing an acupuncturist a few months' back. Made an immediate improvement to my symptoms.

Rectal fissure - healed!
I'm not sure if this is the correct group to post in as I do not have IBS, however for 10+ years, I had a rectal fissure that just wouldn’t go away. I live in the Caribbean, have a healthy lifestyle and diet. Years ago, when first diagnosed with the fissure, I was prescribed Lidoprocto suppositories

Circumcised penis swelling
Hey can anybody help me find out when this swelling will go away ? I had circumcision 9 weeks ago. I am worried about this swelling on the bottom side of the penis. Shall I see a doctor? Worried about wife's mental health
My wife’s behaviour has been becoming increasingly erratic over perhaps the last 5 years. We are both early 40s, together 14 years, married for 10 this year. No children. In the last 5 years she has alienated all my friends, family, all of our neighbours, and has been through 5 jobs – 3 of which she

Severe muscle pain after walking
My
mental
health
has really suffered because of this situation. I have developed a lot of anxiety, which I know can actually make the pain worse. I also have anger issues that make the pain worse when something upsets me. Unfortunately, I can't tolerate antidepressants.

mitral valve regurgitation and AF
Hello . I was diagnosed with mild to moderate MVR last November . No symptoms other than slight breathlessness . Yesterday on another echocardiogram I was informed I have AF - no symptoms at all . It has made me very anxious . Has anyone else experience of both ? I am 57 , very very fit , not overweight

Decided to treat myself
I haven’t had a holiday in a long time, and I’m annoyed with my ankle preventing me from racing, so I bought new shoes to inspire me for when I’m better, and a short break in a fancy hotel in Seville, for my
mental
health
. 😎 The weather will be nicer too! 😀🌞

Getting support for C-PTSD
The NHS are on their knees in regards to support for people's
mental
health
. It is extremely difficult to access support, diagnosis and an up to date programme for people with anxiety, ADHD and C_PTSD. I think I may need to set up a support group myself.

Hi there. Nice to meet you. Don't be anxious. It doesn't hurt. And it will go away.
Just putting this on the Internet to let anyone reading that it doesn't matter your age, gender, lifestyle or genetics when it comes to
mental
health
. I'm sure I am more predisposed to
mental
health
issues but I am also anxious about getting more active as I have health anxiety.

Willingness - as a way of living. Tough moments and days
For a little over a year, I was serving as the magistrate presiding over my region's
mental
health
court. I am back in private law practice now. It feels like my entire life is falling apart, once again, and it feels like this has never stopped over the past 15 years.
