How do you counter a negative self-loathing thought when it has solid evidence?
It's a genuine question. They always say you have to counter your bad thoughts because they're usually wrong or irrational or whatever, but what if it's just a regular observation? It's not irrational or anything, it's just a thought coming from evidence gathered throughout my life and enforced by continues

vitamin deficiencies
I had most of my sigmoid removed because of diverticulitis five years ago. My question is my surgeon said that it should not affect my vitamin or mineral intake because the sigmoid doesn’t involve that. Got on finding that it most certainly does I get a B12 injection because I’m a vegetarian so that

Low B12 levels
it’s not an area I know much about with a B12 level of 433 (187-833) would I qualify for B12 injections?

Detection of Small Cell Prostate Cancer
I understand Small Cell Prostate Cancer (SCPC) may produce less PSA. How do you detect SCPC? Is it detectable by PSMA PET/CT scan?

still confused about my iron results
I’ve now redone my iron panel with medichecks and have similar results to last time. I can’t work out why my ferritin continues to drop. And what I can do about it as I know I need higher ferritin levels for optimum thyroid hormone function. …………………………… Ferritin……….Iron……….. Trans. Sat………..TIBC……….

PTSD versus CPTSD
the DSM does not recognise CPTSD as a diagnosis. Here in NZ if you have PTSD from multiple trauma it is diagnosed as such. I’m interested in other countries interpretation of the diagnostic DSM manual and why they diagnose CPTSD as opposed to PTSD from multiple trauma. A psychiatrist, I believe is

Prostate cancer treatment and IBS
Dear Friends and Sufferers! I've been diagnosed with prostate cancer and have the option of removing the prostate or radiotherapy with or without hormone treatment. Can anyone out there who has experience of these offer advise on their impact on IBS and bowel function? At the moment, I've got IBS looseness

Rapidly rising TPO Antibodies, should I be worried?
Hi again everyone. Last Monday I did a home blood test with MMH, the full health + tpo. The results came back as 199 - range 0-35. I then had a GP appointment on Friday to discuss my concerns about my recent blood results, of course she completely dismissed them and told me to get some more bloods done

His weight is down 10 lbs from last time but i be been sick

Father's Day
Well, here I am on the other side of Father's Day. It could have been better and it could have been worse. My kids didn't call me, My oldest sent me a brief text, not really a conversation, and my youngest tagged one of my Facebook posts with a happy Father's Day meme. Maybe it's just how holidays are

Scared and Frustrated
The beginning of February i thought i had the beginnings of maybe a stomach bug. Bloating, gas, sudden urge and need to use the bathroom.... only nothing would come, just mucus and very very small amounts if unformed fluff. This continued till I noticed i hadn't had a real movement for nearly two weeks

Suppression of TSH but low T4/T3 levels whilst taking Levo/Lio Combo
A few years ago, my thyroid results were looking a lot better but NHS GP over the last 2 years has told me to reduce my dosage twice (because of the 'risks' of overtreatment). I'm now on 100mcg levothyroxine (75mcg supplied by GP and topped up by myself) and 25mcg liothyronine (self-sourced). I now don't

Hi there.
Still awaiting cancer checks. Still scared about that and the finger deformations since everything I have read seems to indicate that the vast majority of the time clubbing seems to be a harbinger of death. Does anyone know where I can access emotional support relatively quickly? GP said waiting times
