I'm on my sixth month of loading methy B12 and learning so much on with every ones posts, I am trying to balance out my cofactors now that I've started to feel better along this journey. So with other factors I'm finding out I'm deficient in from all my gastritis from B12 deficiency for several years now the vitamin D , and magnesium do these two become depleted while loading doses with B12?

No reason B12 would affect them but these are fairly common deficiencies. Not uncommon for Vitamin D to be low after the winter if you were not supplementing (if you were, the dose may be too low). Magnesium could be absorption but could also happen if the diet is low in veggies, wholegrains, legumes, seeds, which are good sources.
thank you for your reply, yes I had such bad digestive gastritis I found out thats why I was so deficient in everything, and I have been loosing weight for the past 6 to seven years and the Dr's could find out anything except the gastritis, but the deficiency was all unknown until this October. so I've started with the waking up syptoms bad at first three months but now it's gotten so I can get around and drive and visit family and grandkids again, but now trying to begin to heal the other deficiencies. I felt the waking up symptoms with them as well. but it's all working thanks to everything I've been reading with everyones posts here, I'm so greatful knowing it will all get better with time and staying in touch. thank you again.
Oh yes and I also had to stop eating alot of foods because of the gastritis which led to even more deficiencies I'm healing in the stomach now and am able to eat without loose bowels if I'm careful it's been slow as well but since I started the Calcium citrate powder it has gotten a lot better. I'm slowly introducing avocados and good fats into my diet like egg yolks as well.
Right. It sounds like between gastritis, restricted diet and loose stools, deficiencies are going to be a significant hazard. Hopefully the B12 will start improving the situation and opening up more foods for you again. In the meantime, you might need some targeted supplementation and/or multivitamin/mineral. If you haven't got a dietitian on board yet, would be good to consult one if you can swing it. Sounds like you're making progress at least!
Avocado is good but my idea of good fats would include nuts, seeds, broken/ground flaxseed/linseed, algal oil with EPA/DHA, Olive Oil and Rapeseed Oil. I have a plant-bias for sure 😁
Thank you again, hopefully soon I can ease the nuts back in my diet and the olive oil, last year I was able to have those in my diet but I could not keep anything inside me after I ate almonds or olive oil, I'm not sure what happened but soon after the calcium citrate power I'm able to have more regular BM's so yes little by little I can add those back in. thank you again for all your help
Hi, I would go easy on the ground flaxseed at the moment due to your loose bowels. It made my colitis symptoms worse. I had to give up eating nuts( which I love) for two years whilst I sorted my bowel out. I was diagnosed with microscopic colitis . I was on quite a restricted diet. But it improved and I was able to gradually introduce certain foods back. I had a vit D and magnesium deficiency too. I use magnesium spray but not everyday as this can produce loose bowels esp if it’s magnesium citrate. I take vit D supplements but look into a vid d protocol as if you’re not on blood thinners it’s helpful to take k2 with them. I’m on blood thinners so can’t have k2 unfortunately. As with everything in life , a balanced diet is kept and everything in moderation as my gran used to say and she lived to 98. Sometimes you have to give your gut a break from gluten . I did and it helped . I’ve introduced it back gradually. I’m also lactose intolerant and have congenital heart disease which I’ve had two OHS for. I’m still here 🤣
oh wow Sea Blue well thank you for your reply and information. I'm glad to know there will be an end to the gastritis eventually. yes I love the nuts as well but I'm still so sensative for now. slowly I'm adding the avocados in too. I'm hoping to start injections soon for the B12 methylated for now I'm taking Mary Ruth organic liquid oral one ML per day but I had to break it up in 4 times per day. my wake up symptoms were so strong back then but getting more tolerable now so I'm praying for the injections to be the next step. and all the vitamin D and calcium and potasium and b complex I'm introducing I'm hoping will all come together soon I pray. I've learned so much on this Health unlocked. thank you .
