Tinnitus spike - covid booster/flu vacc
Hi There have been posts about spikes following covid vaccinations. I am currently experiencing a spike following my Pfizer booster. My tinnitus wasn’t a result of either my first or second vaccinations. And this spike has been and continues to be tricky to say the least 🙁. I have my flu vaccination

Pleurisy & covid jab
Hi everyone, well after having to abort my flu jab & put on antibiotics for a week for a chest infection, last Saturday developed a sharp pain in my back near my ribs on the left, at first I thought I might have bruised myself from coughing but knew I hadn't coughed that much and as the day went on

Pneumococcal vaccine and 5 year booster
Just interested to find out if others with limited systemic sclerosis (taking mycophenolate) have a 5 year booster for their pneumococcal vaccine. Thanks.

Reducing pred dosis on same day as flu shot a good idea?
Hello all, recently diagnosed with PMR, this is my first question in this haven for the suffering. Have been on prednisolone 20 mg for about a month, talked to my GP today about reducing dosis. Labs done last week, came back beautiful, so she wants me to cut to 15 mg as of this Thursday for four weeks

Stop Abatacept for 2 weeks to have booster & flu jab??
Dear all 🙂 I only just had my first Abatacept injection 4 days ago and have just had the last of a course of steroids, so the immune system is low already (think I have a sinus infection 🙄). Anyhoo…. My question is.. has anyone else stopped their weekly biologic injections to give the vaccines a chance

Routines, a runner’s best friend?
Ok. Confession. This last week was the first week of no running… nor working out since starting all that in April 2020! 😱😱😱 I know, I’m shocked! But I had known this week would be tough at work, hosting international guests, both physical and virtual, running the tech whilst chairing sessions, planning

Should I have the shingles jab
I have paroxysmal a-fib. I know the shingles vaccine is from a live vaccine so am worried about the side effects and if they could trigger the a-fib. Also has anyone any experience of what sort of side effects and how bad they can be.

Pfizer vacc. and Methotrexate
Had my 3rd covid jab and a flu jab yesterday, slight tenderness to arms and thats all, however, the person administering the shots said to miss the next 2 doses of Methotrexate. (I stopped pred. fully 9 months ago and switched to weekly injections) I'm waiting to hear from west suffolk to hear if this

High dose Flu vaccine
If you're a transplant recipient, has your transplant nephrologist recommend you get the high dose flu vaccine? Is it even widely available at the pharmacies?

Strange bruising after Pfizer and flu jab yesterday?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced any strange bruising after having the Pfizer booster and flu jab, which I had yesterday. I’ve not banged it and it’s not sore or tender. The Pfzier was in my left arm and flu in my right - bruise on my right hand/wrist.

Rituximab and Covid vaccinations
I had my first cycle of Rituximab infusions in September. The nurse at the clinic advised that I should contact my Consultant to ask when I could have my third Covid vaccination and my flu vaccination. I had a phone call yesterday saying that I should wait four months until I have the vaccinations.

Post Flu Vaccine concerns
Had the flu Vax last week followed by an extreme sore throat 24hours later and slight tightness in throat which went on to produce phlegm. Thought I was getting better then the cough started .. I'm now 11 days in and still using my inhaler to relieve tightness ..I am usually a well functioning asthmatic

Which flu jab is safe?
Good morning All, I'm scheduled for my Flu Jab this morning. Does it matter which one I receive? The live one or deactivated one. Thank you.

UPDATE ON SHOULD I HAVE THE FLU JAB
Hi Everyone Well I was still undecided on whether to have the flu jab today and in the end decided I'd go, tell them how ill I'd been and the medication I was on and see what they said and if I wasn't happy with the response I wouldn't have it done. Explained to the nurse when I got there who said to
