There have been posts about spikes following covid vaccinations. I am currently experiencing a spike following my Pfizer booster. My tinnitus wasn’t a result of either my first or second vaccinations. And this spike has been and continues to be tricky to say the least 🙁. I have my flu vaccination coming up and am just wondering if anyone has had an issue with that too and tinnitus spikes. I have always had a flu jab with no ill affects. But I’m not quite in a place to take on an additional reaction at the moment. Thanks.

Thanks HappyRosie for your reply. I had the booster despite knowing it may aggravate my tinnitus as having covid could cause worse symptoms. Shame it did have an affect and this appears to be a more longer intense spike or I could just be reacting differently to this spike or both. Just got to believe that for my flu one whatever happens I will move forwards. Trying to go with the positive thinking.
I think my T got worse after my first AZ dose and hasn’t really subsided. However neither second dose or the flu jab has made any difference. Obv I’m a sample of one but good luck.
Hmm I’ve either sort of got used to the new normal perhaps or it may have subsided. Either way it’s manageable now mostly thanks. As an aside a friend of mine had some possible bad news Monday and that night my T went thro the roof. It turned out not to be so bad, however goes to show stress affects.
It has settled. Was just under 2 weeks. I also had covid over the Xmas holiday (2 weeks) and funnily enough - no real noticeable effect on my tinnitus levels!! I did however have a reaction to the infection - irritated, burning, prickly skin all over - no rash. So nerves. Not fun and Still not fully settled. I already have some peripheral neuropathy in my feet/legs. But this was different. I tested positive 2 days before end of term (I work in a school) and my best day was the day before I had to go back!! My booster spike was during the half term holiday!!
