Hi Everyone
Well I was still undecided on whether to have the flu jab today and in the end decided I'd go, tell them how ill I'd been and the medication I was on and see what they said and if I wasn't happy with the response I wouldn't have it done.
Explained to the nurse when I got there who said to speak to the doctor (who happened to be the one that rang me about the metoject injections a couple of weeks ago) as soon as I explained and he could hear I could hardly speak he said definitely not to have the flu jab and someone will contact me to rearrange, he also said he'd get someone from the surgery to ring me about antibiotics
I stopped in tescos on the way home to get some more benylyn as suggested by the doctor when the surgery rang me, I said I'm sorry about the noise I'm in tescos, the reply was oh so you can go out and about then! I said that I'd been out to get the flu jab and was getting benylyn as suggested by the doctor, anyway after asking a few questions she said as a precaution with the medication I'm on she'd get me a prescription but also said I had to do a PCR test, I said I'd done a lateral flow test which was negative and she dismissed this saying they don't work. So what's the point of them.
Managed to go to the walk in centre and when I registered online was asked at the end if I'd be willing to take part in doing antibody tests, which I've agreed to, not sure if it depends on the result of the PCR test but I'll wait and see.
Just wanted to thank you all for all the advice you've given x
