Active, social 72 year old female awaiting non malignant meningioma surgery around Christmas time. The meningioma is currently pressing on my optic nerve and causing vision deterioration in one eye. No other symptoms. No other health issues other than general age related arthritic bits!

Hi All I am about to start a six-week course of fractionated brain radiotherapy having been diagnosed with a medium sized Petroclivial Meningioma which extends from the internal auditory meatus to the cavernous sinus and into Merkels cave. It distorts the pons, compressing it to the right.

I was diagnosed by incidental finding with a 1cm x 1.3 cm benign meningioma last October. I had a contrast dye MRI in the September due to an unrelated very bad fall in the previous April. Wanted to rule out various other things.

Hi, I had a craniotomy and resection of petroclival meningioma in May 2022 but as attached to brain stem it can’t be fully removed. Due to minor growth and change of shape I am having radiotherapy starting on 22nd for 6 weeks, Monday - Friday, what has been other peoples experience?

Hello, I had a craniotomy in 2020 for Atypical meningioma grade 2. At present, the cyst of the tumour cavity is enlarged and now the size is 4.5 cm. Along with Post-surgical hemorrhagic collection and compression by an enlargement of the tumor cavity, there is bleeding in the brain.

I'm under Cheerful Days - and my story is that I was diagnosed incidentally last year with a 1cm x 1.3 benign meningioma but it is close to optic nerve. I'm having regular checks, MRI and optical imaging.

I know shunts are mostly used for hydrocephalus, but I’m most interested in the experience of people who had/have meningioma and meningiocele. Many thanks David Pollak

I had my surgery 3 weeks ago to remove a meningioma which I’ve known about and had annual MRIs for the last 12 years. I’m kicking goals with my recovery was sent home 24 hrs after surgery due to no space in hospital .

Hi, Thanks for accepting me to this group, having been diagnosed with a meningioma tumour 2 weeks ago, following a seizure, and having been referred for surgery to remove it.

I was recently diagnosed with a 1.7cm meningioma in my frontal lobe (an incidental find after a suspected stroke) I’ve had 2 CT scans & an MRI scan at my local hospital & have been referred to neurosurgery at a bigger hospital nearby.

Have had quite a few issues & now have an incidental meningioma. Get next to no monitoring. Hope to hear from someone in maybe not the same boat but as near as.
