The difference between steroids like Dexamethasone and Medrol Dose Pack, plus radiation of lymph nodes behind the trachea.
My cousin's husband is undergoing radiation. They are giving him 13 spot radiation treatments in a few areas. They found some lymph nodes behind his trachea which they are radiating. They also are radiating 3 thoracic vertebrae, 5, 6, and 7. They are doing all the radiation at one time. I have a lot

Update on So sick and tired.
I saw my MS Dr on Monday. I absolutely love my Dr. He is so kind and caring, honest and thorough. I just don't like the drive, 47 miles each way. I picked up all my MRI's I have had since the summer. He looked at all of them. He was totally shocked with how fast the progression is. Up until recently,

Rollercoaster of a Month
Thank you to everyone who commented on my kidney & NSAIDs post. Kidneys were given the ok, slightly inflamed but no damage. The aim was still to reduce NSAIDs but without an alternative, I was struggling and felt I wasn't getting the support. In the end I decided to change rheumatologist and so GP referred

Depo Medrone - Does it help with Fatigue?
Hi, I'm new here. I have been having symptoms for about 2 years. After two bouts of shingles. It was manageable, until about 6 months ago. The pain and the fatigue amongst a long list of others things finally made me seek help. My GP suggested that Lupus may be the cause and referred me to a Rhuematologist

Injection Site Pain From Depo-Medrol
As many readers know, I am receiving 80 mg injections of depo-medrol each week for PMR. Depo-medrol comes in three strengths: 80 mg per ml, 40 mg per ml and 20 mg per ml. My primary care physician (PCP) in New Jersey chose to administer 1 ml of the 80 mg strength and while the injection was virtually

Trembling as a side effect of steroids
Soon after receiving depo-medrol injections for PMR, I began to suffer from a list of side effects that included trembling. Some days it was mild and didn’t last long; while on other days I shook all over and it lasted for hours. It was a detestable side effect that significantly interfered with my

adrenal fatigue supplements
I have tried several supplements for adrenal fatigue in the past year, determined not to go back on prescription drug Medrol if it can be avoided. I took Medrol for more than four years, but would prefer a more natural way to support my adrenal glands and hopefully restore adrenal function. Some supplements

Hi y'all! I'm Katie from Texas...
So happy to be a part of this amazing group! I was dxd w/ RRMS in June 04. I currently take Copaxone to help manage the disease. I'm a General Manager for a major clothing retailer. Overall I've been able to handle working but have had a few times that I've needed STD. The last couple of years in the

what could have caused this sudden change in symptoms?
I have been on Thyroid-S for the past year and doing really well on it; actually better than on Armour and Erfa. Given the price of prescription NDT drugs, and all the problems in recent years, I was happy to have found a very good and reliable alternative available OTC. Earlier this year, I also managed

HI, I'M BACK!
Hi, everyone. I have been off-line for a few weeks because the nerve pain I had been experiencing took over my life. Every time that someone touched my right palm, inner elbow, or shoulder, my back arched up like a cat and I felt as if I was being stabbed with knives from my shoulders to my fingers

35/M Severe hair loss, memory loss, high B 12, weakness, without diagnosis please help!!!
The rheumatologist tried to tell me that I might have fibromyalgia . They prescribed Cymbalta, which I refused to take because I do not believe in treating symptoms without a formal diagnosis. I just went to gluten-free and non-GMO, I felt better for a couple of days, but things have gotten worse.

after weaning off prescription drugs for adrenal fatigue
I have been wondering a lot about adrenal fatigue lately. Being the patient of a Hertoghe doctor, I told myself for a long time that I could not do better, and that I had to do whatever the doctor told me to. However, lately, I have come to question some of those things. It seems that most if not all

Depo-medrol Injections for the treatment of PMR

Hello again everyone!
I've not been on here for a while but been quite busy. For those of you who remember me, I recovered from my emergency bowel surgery last Christmas (just left a hideous scar), my knee replacement has healed well and I can walk quite well now. I was attending the Pain Clinic but after questioning why

I am now 5 weeks post cardiac ablation and for the past two weeks have suffered with breathing problems and a dry, non-productive cough. I saw my PCP last week and he put me on Medrol for a 6 day period. I also had a chest x-ray which showed nothing. Today I saw my regular cardiologist (not my EP), and
