Hello
However the hormone treatment I was started on was only affecting one of my breast tumours so I had a
mastectomy
with immediate DIEP reconstruction in April 2015. I am awaiting medical retirement as I am unable to do my job as a midwife now. I have 3 children.

Chemo?
I had a
mastectomy
last week and have another nerve wracking week to wait for results and treatment plan. I have felt healthy throughout and am very worried about the debilitating side effects if I need chemo or radiotherapy. What are the consequences of choosing not to have these therapies?

The story so far
I started a new job in October 2015 and decided it would be a good idea to cycle to work and get a bit fitter. After a couple of days I noticed that my urine was a bit darker than normal, but didn't think too much about it. Then one day I noticed a small blood clot. This worried me a bit, so I went straight

Surgery options for breast cancer
This is to be a
mastectomy
as per the assessment of my breast surgeon. No lymph node removal has been recommended. I want to find out the reconstruction options that are best suited for me. Would delayed reconstruction be a good option for me?

A Personal Introduction
My Name is Lee Gallagher and I live in the state of Queensland Australia. I am 68 years old and was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in January 2012 after becoming symptomatic with painful and increasing urination events.
