Expander reconstruction
After chemo, I had a
mastectomy
and an expander reconstruction in Feb this year, followed by 3 weeks of radiotherapy. So now, 6 months later, my reconstruction is still rock hard. The skin around it is getting softer but, is this how it will always be, so hard??

Advice please
I know chances are very slim with either but what should we choose- a round of ICSI or 2nd vasectomy reversal?? My husband had a reversal that didn't work, then we had a round of ICSI that didn't work either.. Luckily we had one frozen embryo and our daughter was born. We are desperate for another baby

Vasectomy & PCa
New study below [1]. It was over 10 years ago when I reviewed the vasectomy-PCa literature. Some studies showed a link; others didn't. I remember three things: (a) distaste for the organizations that tried to spin the data, so that men would continue to have vasectomies - the health of the men was

My journey begins...
I had a
mastectomy
and reconstruction using implant with ADM support. Am really pleased with the look although obviously it all needs to settle down etc. I am feeling absolutely fine with the help of paracetamol so far. Taking everyone's advice now to take it easy for a while.

Lymphoedema in chest?
Breast cancer in 2008 at 46 followed by
mastectomy
and removal of all lymph nodes in right arm pit. About 2 weeks ago developed a severe pain in upper arm which moved overnight into chest. The pain is still severe and feels like a brick in my chest.

Any flatties out there with ongoing pain
My surgery was 8 months ago and healed very well, did have a bit of a seroma (one side
mastectomy
and lymph clearance). Good movement so discharged from physio but I ache in the surgery area. I cannot lie on it, on my side or front or it gets very sore, after driving also. Anyone else like this?

BrCA Positive and New to This...
In a nutshell, I will most likely have cancer in my lifetime occurring in my breasts/ovaries, and so measures such as
mastectomy
and oophorectomy are very common). IVF has been recommended to me as a means to 'cut out' the gene and stop it passing on to my children as it is hereditary.
