Being HER2+ Strengthened My Faith
My treatment in 2013 had consisted of a bilateral
mastectomy
with reconstructive surgery. I had chosen not to take chemo or Tamoxifen.

Going Flat: Whether To Reconstruct or Not
Some women are choosing to defy medical advice and social convention after mastectomies, saying they would rather live without breasts than undergo more surgery. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/01/well/live/going-flat-after-breast-cancer.html?smid=nytcore-ipad-share&smprod=nytcore-ipad

Surgery over
Just wanted to say that yesterday I had a right breast
mastectomy
along with the removal of a couple of lymph nodes. I was only in hospital for 18 hours and am home now controlling the user friendly drain. A nurse will come and visit tomorrow.

Breast Sinus Infection #Mastectomy #Infection
My partner had a
mastectomy
and reconstruction around a year ago she had problems which required the implant to be removed after which she had a sinus infection, after numerous courses of antibiotics the surgeon removed it leaving a round hole around 25mm diameter and deep, which is dressed and packed

A Long Weekend
My first post on here was really about diet and how to reduce the effects of gallstones. Since then I've had a ultrasound and MRI and have also now seen the surgeon. I think, mostly it's been positive. I'm relieved to say that despite A&E being concerned about my liver tests everything on the scans

What size and how many follicles should i have?
Hello everyone. i just had a scan after day 5 of Gonal f, and i have about 18 follicles altogether. My IVF coordinator(nurse) said she was giving me a low dose since we are doing IVF because of my Husband`s vasectomy and my body is fine. i am wondering if that number is okey on day 5 or i am not responding

Week 8 Complete - but having an enforced break
However my dilemma is that on Wednesday I have to go into hospital to have some reconstruction work done following a
mastectomy
I had in the spring. This will mean that I will have to have some time off running/exercise (possibly 6 to 8 weeks).

Getting op report, first lap
Hello, Just had my first lap / cystectomy and heading home after 2 nights in hospital. I was shown a detailed report of the operation by a doctor yesterday, and was hoping to get access to that report myself, but when I asked a nurse about it just now, she said it would not be sent to my GP or be made

Should I push for mastectomy?
The surgeon said he is not worried about it and does not recommend a
mastectomy
, just radiotherapy and hormone tablets for 10 years.

IVF and stepchilden
Hey everyone, Pretty new to this... but was just wondering if anyone had any experience of going through IVF with step children? My husband has two boys from previous marriage. Then had a vasectomy.. which we had reversed and failed, leaving us with only IVF as an option. I have just finished my first

Confused- HELP
Ladies, as per my last post I stopped down regulating on 27th September due to having to cancel cycle. I had my period whilst down regulating as normal and then since stopping I had spotting-only when I wiped and had signs I ovulated as normal the week later. I'm now 8 days late and I've had some weird
