TailChaser's HM Training Diary - Week 16
Tue - Sports
Massage
. I'd rung up the day before and thankfully it was still going ahead but you can feel the walls closing in as Stratford upon Avon is getting quieter and there are Coronavirus posters all over the out patient cafe & pharmacy walls, doors etc.

4 months aniversary of BP
There's still somepart of my face when I
massage
it that felt hurt, still can't move my eyebrow or blink, or close my eye properly. But despite everything, I started to realize something from all of this.

In focus: lymphoedema - massage and manual drainage
The second type of
massage
is simple lymphatic drainage (SLD), which you can do yourself or ask a friend or relative to do for you. Your therapist will show you how to
massage
yourself at home to help maintain the circulation of lymph between appointments or after you finish treatment.

TailChaser's HM Training Diary - Week 15
I still have niggles in my Achilles and my knees are a bit wobbly but I have my final ‘cut back’ week now and, with any luck, a sports
massage
(please, please, please!!). So it’s onwards, upwards and towards the final push!

Monday round-up
We had hydrotherapy,
massage
, flotation therapy, a skin care workshop, as well as several lovely meals there, and a delightful sleep on the hot beds in the tepidarium (until I threatened to launch into a noisy snore!)

Silver linings
. 😉 Today I went for a
massage
, and the
massage
therapist double checked that I wasn’t pregnant. I answered, “No, I wish.” And she sighed and said, “Me too.” Turns out she and her husband have been trying for the same amount of time we have.

Wider area pelvic pain - vague!
I have seen a clinician and after what seemed a thorough exam he gave me a steroid injection but this had no effect at all and neither have any meds like naproxen, ibruproven etc, chiropractor,
massage
etc. His comments 'if this does not work little can be done'.

Not sure if it is PMR now
This time I have been to osteopath and had
massage
and GP has put me on 15 mg of pred for 3 weeks. It is now day 13 on 15 mg pred. General stiffness improved but not the ‘miracle’ cure l hoped for.

Update, five weeks after receiving focused ultrasound treatment in a blinded controlled study
A friend who is a
massage
therapist told me last week that there has been a significant decrease in my dyskinesia, so my whole body is more relaxed than it was. The focus of the study I'm in is upon dyskinesia, so from that perspective, the treatment appears to have been successful.

Week 7 run 1
Hey run buddies I had a lovely sports
massage
on Monday - a whole hour releasing taught muscles. And my left hip flexor had been very sore. We discussed my stretches and I’m apparently doing the right stuff. So I took a couple of days to enjoy the benefits and ran earlier this evening.

Need Home Care Suggestions. ANYTHING That will help. Alone With Just a Heating Pad! Going Crazy
I also read the book "Healing your pelvic pain" that was OK but the exercises were too hard and not enough description as far as outer
massage
or inner. Meditation CD's? I guess I have written enough. Cant afford PT. Maybe my insurance will pay for a nerve block.

20 miler training continues...
Heart rate was in zone 3/4 and my legs were feeling great following my sports
massage
yesterday. The best thing however was the name of the segment I ran through tonight which really made me smile :) I hope everyone who is wanting to run manages to get out there despite the weather :)

Finally broke the 10K mark on my long run this morning! (+ blister nightmare)
As soon as I sat down after finishing my run, I felt my body really needing to sleep and rest but I had to go to church and then straight to the
massage
session.
