Which Treatment
But during that my Chronic Pancreatitis progressed so I'm homebound, in pain, no energy, partly from
malabsorption
partly from depression. But I'm going to continue to go downhill from the CP.

After paying privately to see a gastroenterologist, he has suggested that I most probably have Crohn’s disease with a
malabsorption
problem, but again no treatment offered 77 today and feeling like I don’t want to reach 78

Changing to bedtime dosing
I have been advised in the past to allow two hours either side of thyroxine if taking at night, but I have always preferred morning dosing until this issue with the feeling of
malabsorption
. I took 75 mcg this morning (on 75/100 at present).

Levothyroxine malabsorption study
It is claimed none of the patients have
malabsorption
but they needed on average 2x the normal dose of LT4. Five of the patients were identified as celiac!

paradoxical B12 deficiency. Might this be my problem? Anybody know how to treat?
I know that digestive problems are known to cause B12 deficiency due to
malabsorption
. I’ve been reading up & wondering if my high levels of B12 are masking a deficiency and giving me symptoms. Does anybody know if it’s best to inject B12 to counteract this?

In case it helps anyone else - Ondansetron
I was also being treated for concurrent Bile Acid
Malabsorption
(on response to meds, rather than through a SeHCAT scan) but that was getting increasingly ineffective which was making me doubt the diagnosis. FODMAPs or any of the other IBSD suggested cures were completely in effective.

repeat fractures
I had blood work done and my calcium level is normal but my vitamin D is very low which means I have
malabsorption
. Does anyone else have
malabsorption
and fractures? I’m just trying to figure out where to go from here. I need to exercise but I’m afraid to because of my fractures.

Long term lansoprazole use
Now, it's my understanding that long - term use can cause
malabsorption
issues. I have a very healthy diet and yet feel hungry much of the time, and I'm wondering if this has something to do with it. But what could be the solution? If I miss a day of lansoprazole, I get terrible gastric reflux.

comprehensive stool tests
Malabsorption
, zonulin levels etc. The test is quite pricey though so I’m a bit worried that it may be a waste of time and money. Just wondered what everyone thought? Has anyone had this done and did it throw light on anything which has helped you?

Oral B12 as effective as injection even in PA patients - does anyone have experience to support this?
Haematologist wanted to put me on oral B12 because “ … the more recent evidence suggests oral B12 can overcome and bypass this block” ie the
malabsorption
due to PA. I was sceptical so I have insisted on resuming B12 injections which are underway.

Can a non-specialist (still a qualified medical DR, just not in general practice or haem) prescribe a b12 trial (NHS psychiatry consultant)
he gave no mention of how oral supplementation isnt recommended with gut
malabsorption
. he also did not mention that the test is not accurate after starting supplementation.

Are there risks associated with long term use of Revlimid?
In 2019 I developed BAM (Bile Acid
Malabsorption
). I was prescribed Cholestid which helped with the diarrhea associated with BAM, but it caused me to develop GERD. Now I am taking several meds to deal with with this. Just wondering if this stream of events can be triggered by Revlimid.
