I suggest you think about joining family counselling group for relatives of those with OC. Sometimes it is harder to watch a loved one with a disease/problem, than to be the person with it. And it will help you to support your mum if you get support yourself. The doctor will make the plan for your mum. As they say, worry keeps you going, but gets you nowhere. Best wishes to you and your mum.

I'm sorry to hear you and Mum are going throught this again. I can understand how worried you must feel.Perhaps Mum has some fluid in her tummy? That might be the cause of her breathlessness.

I'm sure your love and support helps Mum so much and I hope she has a really good response to the treatment.

All the best to you both.

Dear Inguc_is,

I'm sorry to read that you are so worried and stressed. I can see that some of our lovely members have already replied with supportive messages, and I'm sure more members will do the same shortly.

I wanted to let you know that we run a support group over Zoom especially for friends and family of those diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Our groups are very supportive, there is no pressure to talk and in fact you are welcome to come along and listen if that suits you best.

Our next group is actually today at 5pm, but if this is too short notice the group runs every month. You can read more and sign up here: ovacome.org.uk/Event/family...

You can also call the Ovacome support line on 0800 008 7054 if you need to talk about how you're feeling or talk through what is happening with your mum. We are open Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm.

Best wishes,

Jo
