Update to Pluvicto Consult, and Question

My dad's PSMA scan lit up like a Christmas tree! 😂 excuse my dark humor to get through this...

Anyway, he is a great candidate for Pluvicto! He meets with Radiation Oncologist on the 29th. The one downside is they have a supply shortage and he may not be able to start until end December-end Jan. He is also on a clinical trial waitlist to tide him over, and if that doesn't happen soon enough, he will do a low dose chemo to bridge him over until first Pluvicto availability. So we have a plan, a back up plan, and a back up to the back up plan!

My dad still complains of aches almost daily, is this common with bone metastasis? Does anyone else experience this? He does have arthritis, but I feel this is more the cancer. He often has to take Tylenol daily but he says that does the trick. I worry about him aching daily...this doesn't stop him from his 2.5 mile walks though which is a good thing.

Keeping fingers crossed he gets to start Pluvicto soon and sees positive results!

Thank you all for your thoughts, well wishes and prayers. Please know I am sending the same right back to you!

Bone mets do cause pain. You can get them radiated. This mitigates the pain or even eliminates it.

Before I enter the LuPSMA trial, I had the mets on my spine radiated.

Yes, Sunnday1122, daily aches sounds normal to me. I'm 70, getting my 2nd Pluvicto cycle this week and walk my dog 1 to 2 miles per day. Every day starts with deep aches in the vicinity of the PMSA scan hot spots, but once meds kick in, lower grade aches persist and are managed with Tylenol and or Advil or Voltaren cream. Every step walking my dog aches a bit, but it's tolerable and well worth it. Our expectation is that Pluvicto will improve this after another cycle or 2.

Hello, Sunnyday1122! From your history, it is not entirely clear whether your father takes Xgeva or Zoledronic acid anti-bone resorption drugs? These drugs reliably relieve pain in bone metastases! I started a story about my experience of undergoing radioligand therapy using the PSMA ligand. Please read it in my posts on this forum. It is possible that you will need it. Best wishes and good luck to your father! And yes, I sent a prayer to heaven for your dad so that he could dance with you at your wedding! Amen!
