AF Medications
I have had AF for a few months now, I have also attended A & E four times recently with palpations and chest pains. Each time they have given me either, sometimes both, potassium or magnesium intravenously. I have also had a kidney transplant (4 years ago). They cannot give me any more medication

Hashimoto's and insomnia
Anyone else struggles with insomnia especially whilst in a flare-up? My doctor has said that insomnia isn't a typical symptom of Hashimoto's hypothyroidism and will only prescribe drowsy antihistamines to help me sleep. Does anyone have any tips or supplements to help with this? I've tried sleep hygiene

No meds….yet
Hi New to this forum and RLS. Insomnia is crippling me and affecting everything from weight gain to cognitive abilities. I am desperately seeking sleep. GP has prescribed Quinine but little affect. Also on iron tablets, B12, Vit D, Magnesium. Next stop Ropinole. I’m scared to take this as there appears

Time to come off Ropinerole 4 years after being on Pramepexole 7 years. What else can I try????
I've been on these and both caused augmentation and with both was increased to maximum dose yet still had restless legs causing sleepless nights, anxiety and depression. Before I went onto medication I found out I was severely anaemic, I don't know how it happened to me as I was previously fit and healthy

Please help with what to do next?
Am SO upset that after 4 months on 10mg oxycontin long release & 1,500 gabapentin I really thought my rls had gone. But am now going crazy again in the night and am SO TIRED. Should I first go back to taking magnesium again? And if so how much? Or should I ask my GP for blood test in case my ferritin

THANK YOU 🙏
Thank you to everyone that has helped with with my query around Magnesium Taurate. It appears Ethical Nutrition is recommended by Dr Gupta and is a lot cheaper than others I looked at. I thought it might be helpful to attach nutritional information to see what we’re getting! Thank you all.

New to this group
Hi all,I have hashimotos and hypothyroidism and have been a member on the thyroid forum for a while. It's been suggested I post on here for some interpretation of some bloods. I have been tested for PA but was told it was normal, but I'm sceptical given what I've read and what I'm experiencing. Apologies

Update on bloods
Hi all, I posted a couple of weeks ago as my blood results had dropped slightly from the previous lot 6 months ago and I am feel pretty rotten. GP wouldn't up my levo from 100 as results were "normal"......starting to despise that word!! She did however agree to some vitamin tests and T3 (which she

B1 therapy
After trying 500mg of B1 for about 2wks, I decided to stop and instead try a B complex and magnesium for a while before starting back on B1. I’ve now been taking a B complex every day that has 50mg of B1 and 2mg of B6, along with an extended release capsule of 250mg magnesium every 3 days. I’ve been

Distribution of medication and supplements throughout the day.
In my efforts to optimise the effect of C/L medication and oral supplements, I would like advice on this, to promote positive drug / supplements interactions if possible and to prevent any negative interactions. For example, I am familiar with the interaction carbidopa <> B6, but what is the best time

On the injury couch…😕
“Hello, old friend!”🤣 I haven’t been here for a long while actually but over the past week I have picked up a niggle that has stopped me running. I’m afraid I blame it on my new strength and conditioning routine - you know, that stuff we so often ignore that’s supposed to make us stronger runners!🤣

MAGNESIUM TAURATE
I was reading an article by Dr Gupta whereby he recommended magnesium taurate for those of us suffering from atrial fibrillation. His recommended dose was 125 mg twice a day. This seems hard to find in a tablet as most of them are much more than this. Any recommendations where I can find this or do

CHAD VASc
Last year on a visit to my EP he informed me that at the age of 64 and with a CHAD VASc score of 1 that anti coagulants were not necessary. However as I turn 65 then my score would go to 0 which then does require Anti-c . I am taking Flecainide, bisoprolol along with Magnesium and I am in good health

Good resources regarding vagal AFIB?
Does anyone have any good resources (articles, YouTube videos) directed to vagally-mediated AFIB (the type that occurs after a large meal or while sleeping)? I believe my AFIB was triggered by endurance athletics (I used to do long bike rides and probably overdid it and stressed my body too much).

Comments On Blood Test Results Please
I don't post very often but I read a lot on here, and after having a Blue Horizon full thyroid blood test, I would be interested in the thoughts of anyone on what came out of it. I had radioactive iodine some years ago and am on levothyroxine (100mg). My results from the GP always come back as 'normal

I posted my latest results earlier and got some good advice, but i just wanted to check that from tomorrow i'm taking the right doses 😬 I'm going to reduce my levothyroxine dose by 12.5mcg to 125mcg, stay on 5000iu Vitamin D, keep taking a B complex and also a magnesium capsule. I'll carry on taking
