Jitters over angiography
Hi all, I have been given a day case admission for an angiogram. I just read the booklet which came with the appointment letter and it's made me really nervous. I have severe emphesema and this exam is part of the application for a lung transplant. I have had CT scans, x- rays, LF tests, echocardiograms

Heart attack then cardiac arrest after lobectomy
My husband is almost 78 and has had 3 MIs, the last one in 2008 when he had 2 stents fitted. I'm also a member of the lung cancer forum because, as well as having COPD, he was diagnosed with lung cancer in September after a CT scan for digestive issues because he has lost over 2 stone in a year. Lung cancer
My husband has suffered with Copd for over 8 years this last 12 months have been the worst for him. He was on steroids non stop till about the end of August last year and now has been diagnosed with lung cancer. They won't operate as they say he only has a one in three chance of survival. Now he is

5 mm Nodule "not visualized" in my last scan
Here is the actual radiologist's statement: "There is volume loss in the left hemithorax from left lower lobectomy. Linear density and scarring along the medial left upper lobe is stable. The previously noted 5 mm nodule in the right lower lobe is no longer visualized. Slight groundglass opacity in

Lung Surgery
Hi, Was diagnosed after a biopsy with adenocarcinoma in my left lung. I am having the surgery on the 4th of next month. They are planning to remove the left lobe. I work in Law Enforcement and was wondering if the reduced lung capacity would effect my ability to work the same. Any thoughts. Thanks

Pembrolizumab Immunotherapy
I've just had my second treatment with Pembrolizumab and the side effects of severe headaches that I suffered after the first treatment were happily absent. This is a new turn in the route; a year ago I was diagnosed with NSCLC then a week after with Bowel cancer. The consensus was that they were both

How can I get him to eat post lobectomy?
My husband had a lobectomy last Wednesday by keyhole surgery. He is now cancer free so, very lucky, however, he is 77 and had lost around 2 stone in weight prior to the surgery due to nausea. He'd been prescribed meds that worked for his nausea a short time before his admission and I had been serving
