New member trying to get their head round things !
I’ve just found out I’m on the lung transplant list. Feeling a little overwhelmed by it all and would love to find out more from others in similar circumstances any coping mechanisms.

Advice on respiratory issues.
Hi all. I recently had a chest x ray in September, a mid way request as my scan is not due until February. It was fine. However I have noticed that occasionally it feels as if something has hit my respiratory system making me cough, it could be a smell that I am not familiar with. I am reluctant

Lung Transplant
Lung Transplant. Good Afternoon everyone. I have currently been on the lung transplant list over 2 1/2 year and I attend Wythenshawe Hospital on a regular basis for updating bloods scans and x-rays. I am constantly told to keep as fit as I can which is difficult at times as I need a double lung transplant

I have Adenocarcinoma stage 4, following half left lung removal in March . CT in August showed spread to right lung. I've been through 4 cycles of pem/carb chemo but recent ct showed continued spread in the right lung. Surgery is no longer an option as too widespread. I have no gene or Ros markers

Stable CT scan. Five years+ living with Stage IV NSCLC
This is an excerpt from a caring bridge post I made yesterday. I also included a whole bunch of language stuff about covid-19and the need for each of us to do our part to protect one another, but I’ll leave that there. I am grateful that I just received happy CT scan results

Study identifies patients with lung cancer most likely to respond to immunotherapy.
Scientists are beginning to unravel one of the biggest challenges with immunotherapy: why some people with cancer respond to the treatment, while others may not respond at all. In a new study, researchers at the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center found patients with a particular type of human

Comfort at last!
I had a vats lobectomy over 18months ago and thankfully all well so far (apart from having treatment for anal cancer this year) but I digress. Wearing a bra is painful because I have a keloid scar from my cats op. After much research and help from doctors to no avail I have found an easy remedy that

Although in the last few weeks (since about mid September) I have notice I have been getting a low grade fever fluctuating

Update - Immunotherapy treatment
Its been a while since my last post, since my partner was diagnosed with incurable lung cancer with spread to an adrenal gland. I've thought long and hard about posting this as so many are so distressed about their situations, but felt it may help offer some hope to others. My partner was an ideal
