I have Adenocarcinoma stage 4, following half left lung removal in March . CT in August showed spread to right lung. I've been through 4 cycles of pem/carb chemo but recent ct showed continued spread in the right lung. Surgery is no longer an option as too widespread. I have no gene or Ros markers that allow targeted therapies and have a low PDL marker. The plan and probably my last chance is for Atezolizumab immunotherapy which I start next week. I thought it would be Keytruda but he said the above was better for my circumstances.
Does anyone have any positive results to the above treatment please or experience of having this drug. Many thanks.

I have read that Pembrolizumab (Keytruda) is better for advanced Squamous Cell Carcinoma which is what my dad has. He is having Chemotherapy Carboplatin and Paclitaxel and Pembrolizumab. I think Pembrolizumab costs more than Atezolizumab so that could be a factor but I’d ask to see the results why he thinks Atezolizumab is better than Pembrolizumab as it may be proven to be better got Adenocarcinoma.
Wishing you lots of luck and prayers that the treatment works for you xxx
Sorry to hear you have had some recent spread of your cancer and hope you hear from others in the forum of their own experience with Atezolizumab.
You may have this information already but this link takes you directly to Atezolizumab from Cancer Research UK: cancerresearchuk.org/about-...
As you probably know everyone can have a different experience with their treatment but it would be good to have support from those who have had Atezolizumab.
If there is anything you would like to discuss you can either email us at lungcancerhelp@roycastle.org or call our freephone nurse led helpline number on 0800 358 7200, hope your treatment goes well for you.
