Hi. I haven't written for a long time. 2 year's ago I had upper right Lobectomy. Had Xray on my spine 2 month's ago and have 2 fractured vertebrae. Xray sent to Australia, diagnosed with cancer beside fracture.and they advised an MRI. Sent back here and they say no cancer and no MRI. Pain is severe and this is same scenario as with the lung cancer so I don't trust our Radiographer's! Left for 16 month's after Australia diagnosed Adenocarcinoma in my lung and our hospital ignored it until I had pneumonia 2 year's ago and was told I had cancer and because they left me for so long I have multiple health problems. Now with the wedge fracture of my vertebrae, Osteoporosis and previous Australia lung diagnosis and our hospital misdiagnosis plus other mistakes I have no trust in our hospital and the lump on my spine is excruciating. What do I do? I also have inflammation, a thickening and polyp in my Colon and because of bleeding the Bowel Cancer people suggest a Colonoscopy but I have had no contact or advice from our hospital for either problem. Please, some advice. I am desperate. Thank you. Keep safe all.

A good place to start would be to get a second opinion at a medical oncology teaching college. Sorry I was not able to find better information for you.
Hi Denzie. Thank you. I would never have thought of that. When the first Xray on my spine came back from Australia, my G.P. rang and told me that I had cancer of the spine and he would be there with me through it all to the end and my husband, friend's and family were all devastated. I was scared but having been through lung cancer, I also felt fatalistic and again, had to be strong for them but I don't feel ready to go just yet! We had that for 6 day's and then my G.P. rang again to say that our hospital said, as I explained, that it's not cancer! The only thing that would reassure me is to have an MRI and I wrote to my Dr. asking for one. That was a month ago and I have heard nothing and cannot believe that they can leave me with a wedge fracture of 2 vertebrae which have compacted and are crumbling and tell me that I also have Osteoporosis and in fact, they haven't told me but sent a letter to my G.P. but no advice as to what I should or shouldn't do regarding the Osteoporosis and has it spread or is it cancer and why has the area above my knee's become so painful and swelled up?! If I knew for sure what was going on, I would get on and deal with thing's but not knowing for sure is really stressful and I think that when you have cancer once there is always a niggle especially when you are told that you definitely have cancer again
Thank you for listening! I am so tired of all the pain and feeling so ill and just want a straight answer. Take care and be safe.
Glad you have a plan now. Here in the States many of the medical schools are on the cutting edge of treatment. They are most likely to be involved in research. Let us know what you learn.
