Pain right upper back
I don’t know about your pain after 3 years but a heart rate of 128 definitely needs investigating - take care
My left VATS was 5 1/2 years ago and I still get pain in the incision site and where the chest tube was inserted. Though it is not sharp, it is annoying. I assume the nerves that were cut are still healing. Your elevated pulse should be checked out. Have you consulted your doctor about either issue, if not you probably should.
I hope this helps. Stay safe and stay well. Jean
Ty and I did but all the blood work is normal and I read the side effect of geensabeen chemo is elavated heart rate
I have had 2 lobectomies, the last one was 3 1/2 years ago. I still get pain from where the drain tube was in the last surgery. Mostly a dull ache, but sometimes a sharp pain. My oncologist says its nothing to worry about.
I’m wondering if the pain might be related to the nerves healing. Have they tried giving you gabapentin? I know that some have had success in getting relief with massage and others with acupuncture or acupressure.
It’s been several days, have you had any relief?
So platelets normal and did my gaberbeen tuner shrinking, she asked me today about gab spent in, ghost pains from nerve endings is it, Motrin gives relief and tulonal. Tuner is 2 cm middle of chest but dr says it will never go always 💯 so I stay on maint chemo on 3 times 2 week break, keytruda took my pituitary gland so I’m on thyroid med the way of my life. I am stable and they probably never give me immutherapy again, I’m on 10 mg steroid everyday to help my thyroid
I’m sorry. Usually I can figure out what the meaning of a word autocorrect has mangled is. What is gaberbeen?
Damn I wish I knew how to say the correct name but I do know I ski look and get back to you thanks
it will be 10 years in December since my lobectomy and occasionally I still experience a stabbing pain when bending or in particular positions but most of the time don't really think about it. Are you active? I know it may seem like too much effort but it is really important to keep mobile and active after surgery. I swim regularly and find this stretches out the back and shoulder area and has helped me considerably. you can build up slowly - on my back with no arms (just sculling at the side) was how I returned initially after my surgery (I was a regular swimmer before) but slowly built up and gone onto swim much further than before. I really feel it helps me physically and mentally - unsure if you're still on chemo whether it's possible but gentle exercises like yoga and pilates movements may help you too. have a word with your clinical team for their suggestions and whether occupational health/physiotherapy may help you. good luck.
