Hi I am new here, and want to join the team!
My name is Corrine, I am 67 married to a wonderful man, we have a daughter and four lovely grandchildren. I was diagnosed with stage 4 non small cell lung cancer on 28th June and still haven’t got over the shock so I hope to find some coping strategies from others who are either further down the road

Suspected lung cancer
Hi guys, I have difficulty breathing for about 10 years now, some days is worse than others. It's very tight and heavy chest at all times, feels like breathing through the straw and like I need to keep getting satisfying deep breath. I don't have cough. I had X-ray, CT scan, normal scan, blood tests,

I feel kinda funny about sharing as with the advanced staging of PCa there's so much bad news, I thought I would share some good... Now being around one year ago which began the discovery of Stage IV progression, the finding of mets inadvertently during an attempted Appendectomy, subsequent second successful

One Very Successful Year and Counting
It was one year ago today I received my first immunotherapy infusion after being diagnosed with Stage IV non-small cell lung cancer. My initial scan three months later showed a 75-85% shrinkage in tumors and ten months into treatment I was told there was No Evidence of Disease. That is the state of

theoretical question: lung transplant
Sorry if this question is of the "out there" type. If an asthmatic recipient receives a lung transplant from a non-asthmatic donor, would the recipient asthma be "cured"? I've read about the reciprocal phenomenon -- one gets asthma if the donor was an asthmatic. I am guessing compared living a lung transplant

Chemotherapy for stage 4 lung cancer and productive cough. Following the failure of my immunotherapy treatment after less than 6 months I have been started on Carbo/Pemetrexed chemotherapy. Following my first treatment I seem to have developed the production of phlegm. it is very limited but if I

Eleven years. Who’d have thought it possible.
Today marks the end of year eleven and the first day of year 12. Hard to believe I’ve traveled around the sun 11 times with this cancer. This is a copy and paste of something I wrote last year. I couldn’t say it any better. ———————————————————- Much to my amazement, and that of my family, friends

Orgovyx after surgery?
Husband on orgovyx for 3 months. Finished 28 proton treatments 3 weeks ago. Had lung surgery to remove unrelated cancerous spot. Dr. wants him off orgovyx 2 more weeks. Thoughts? Husband doesn’t want testosterone to rise.

Lung transplant assessment
I am on the lung transplant list. One of the tests to get on the list was the 6 minute walk test. This I could do. However now I wouldn’t be able to, as despite 24 hour oxygen, just walking a few steps and I have to stop as my oxygen levels plummet to between 60 & 70%. After 30 seconds, they recover
