Different pains
It may be that the pain is related to the healing process but it's difficult to say. Healing muscles can cause a variety of pains until healing is complete. If you are concerned or if he feels unwell contact your doctor for advice.
Thankyou we are seeing the oncologist next week , so will mention it to them the only saving grace is that the painkillers do eventually take the pain away and it's very hard to see a gp even now , they would say speak to doctors at the hospital, but that's even harder to do.
Good luck. Do persist in asking questions. It must be horrible to see your husband in pain.
Not unusual IMO. I had an open thoracic upper right lobe lobectomy 9 years ago . Pain can come from most anywhere. Even if the ribs were not cut , they were likely wrenched and torqued a bit . Three months after my surgery I had a violent cough and broke 3 ribs in multiple places , and it affects me yet today . He will get through it but there will be bumps along the way!, Best Wishes, judg69
