Lofepramine

Hi, I've been on lofepramine coming up to a year now. From just before I started getting palpitations and heart racing on movement. I had the 5 mins ecgs done, all fine, waited 8 months for a 24hr one and 3 months for the results...which says all fine also.

Anyone found lofepramine helpful for anxiety and depression. I mainly feel constantly wired and shaky like I'm on speed although I'm taking nothing. Recently come off citalopram as it was just making me more wired and shaky and tense and just felt totally weird and out of it.

I'm just wondering how many of you have experienced similar symptoms to me and whether I can put it down to the lofepramine as I'm getting no answers from my GP. I was experiencing palpitations beforehand but since starting lofepramine about 4 weeks ago symptoms have worsened.

GP has tried various medication to help with pain and has just decided to put me on Lofepramine 70mg tablets one to be taken at night. Has anyone else experience of taking this medication? Did it help and how long after the first dose? Thanks for any replies

After 9 years on Escitalopram 20mg, I didn’t feel it was working so my GP changed me over to Lofepramine. I’d been on this medication for 6+ months, but only taking 70mg a day.

My GP suggested Lofepramine instead of the sertraline as they prescribe that for RLS, it is also used to treat depression and anxiety. After trying this I was so miserable and anxious I couldn't cope so went back into sertraline.

My doctor prescribed it along with my antidepressants Lofepramine and Propranolol for heart palpitations. My anxiety and depression started to get better for a couple of weeks but is now back. I saw on of the side effect of Promethazine is anxiety

I’ve been on Lofepramine for about three weeks and seem to have constant heart palpitations. Has anyone been on this medication and experience the same.

I have been on lofepramine a tricyclic antidepressant for 18 years and wonder if this could be a contributing factor? I have also been a blood pressure meds for a few years (Losartan) and this together with beetroot extract keeps the BP under control .

I was on Lofepramine for about six years. Unfortunately before Christmas it became unavailable due to two of the manufacturers relocating. In January my GP transferred me onto fluoxetine after tapering down the Lofepramine.

Been on 210mg of Lofepramine now for over a week after being on 140mg for 4 weeks it still doesn't seem to be doing anything still struggling with depression and anxiety any ideas

I was thinking of asking for lofepramine I read online it can be used for ocd but has anyone any experience using it?

Major depression which has been treated with lofepramine and lithium.. limited success. Recent thyroid levels : TSH 0.03, t4 29. Have had thyroid antibodies taken. No results yet. Please advise.
