Over the last few days it’s become really cold, frost, bit of snow etc, had more pain I’ve learned this may happen, but today was one of those days that’s one of the worst. I’d been out for a few hours mostly sitting, but in and out of the cold then ..... on my way home I got a puncture !!!!!! So I had

Sudden sharp pain in chest
Yesterday as we were lying in bed the wife turned to me and suddenly experienced a 10 out of 10 pain in her chest under her left breast. The pain remained at that level so I dialled 999 and the paramedics attended. The pain subsided to a dull ache whilst they were at home but as the pain was still present

What does "under the tongue" mean?
GTN spray for angina. Does "under the tongue" mean "underside of your tongue" or "the floor of your mouth"? Confused by the term and leaflet not clear which of these two it is. So spray onto raised tongue or onto area vacated by tongue?

Who benefits from pace maker.?
Can anyone explain why some are excluded from having a pacemaker. I am suffering from breathlessness, ef of 43%, irregular heart beat, left ventricular failure. So which of these doesn't warrant a pace maker? Also GTN spray? My BP is low. Thank you. I just want to check that I've got it right.

Making Sense of HF.
Yesterday I had a home visit from my G.P. It wasn't precooked but a district nurse came to do monthly blood test and decided the Dr needed to see me as my bp was 78/48. I haven't been well for a couple of months. Exhausted, sleeping solidly day and night, light headed, a bit confused in fact sort of

Gtn spray wipes me out...
Hi, I'm having to use my Gtn spray quite often. I'm finding that after particularly bad attacks, I'm pretty wiped out for the day after. Is this normal? I'm waiting an mri scan as the specialist thinks there isn't enough blood getting through to my heart. I've had 5 stents to date...

Post Stent: Fatigue aches and insomnia
Hi, I had a stent fitted a month ago after collapsing during a stress test in hospital. After the stent was fitted I was sent home with a leaflet and my medication. The nurses were superb, however, I wasn't really 'with it' when discharged so didn't ask many questions. For the first week I felt much

DAPAGLIFLOZIN
After finally stopping canaglifozin due to side effects . Dapagliflozin has now been prescribed at a much lower dosage for my diabetes in its place, which I have been advised also works well for heart failure too. I had a HA which was a year ago 13th November. I am well now happy and I believe healthy

Chest tightness
Hello. I’m a few months down the line from having a Stent in LAD . Totally unexpected as suddenly started having angina after exercise .. just two months later the chest tightness started and has never improved. It decreases slightly on rest and even a conversation lasting more than 15 minutes increases

Chest pain when stressed
When I’ve been going through extreme stress and know there’s a lot more to come, it’s something that really brings on my chest pain ( waiting for stress mri perfusion results) but told I have coronary artery spasms and micro vascular angina, and the bottom of my heart isn’t pumping efficiently. I know

Should I go to A and E
Just had to use my gtn for the first time in 10 months. I’ve been really good and then those old feelings are back. It’s been a year since my stent. Gtn worked and feel ok now. Should I go to AandE ? Or call the doc?

Tooth out tomorrow yey
How exciting an afternoon out having my tooth out....... NOT ....my crown came off at the beginning of lockdown, it’s been aching on and off, even though I’m absolutely terrified of the dentist I’ve finally been given the go ahead 🥴🥴 it does help my dentist is rather pleasing to the eye 😃 Weird as

NEW THREAD CARDIOVASCULAR PROBLEMS
Just seen cardiologist. He says I do not have angina, but something to do with the chest wall related to my PMR. He could not understand me, and I could not understand him. Despite the fact that I no longer have pain at rest, but when I go to the loo or try to get something out of my locker or transfer

Chest pain that moves around
Hi, for the past 3 years I've had these episodes of pretty severe pain in my chest, however it moves around to my back, right side, right gums, shoulder, abdomen, throat. Never left side, only right so far. It can get very painful. I've had a couple of ECGs, BP, bloods and so far all normal. I'm in
