Cold weather definitely makes a difference !!!

Over the last few days it’s become really cold, frost, bit of snow etc, had more pain I’ve learned this may happen, but today was one of those days that’s one of the worst.

I’d been out for a few hours mostly sitting, but in and out of the cold then ..... on my way home I got a puncture !!!!!! So I had to hang around outside, getting dark on a busy road, typical the puncture was into the road, not the footpath side, managed to put enough air in to get me to the nearest garage that sells and fits tyres, stood outside while that was done (covid)

Got home and I ache!!!! My chest feels like I have a large fat cat sitting on my chest. Taken lots of GTN spray and my first oramorph and cuddling my warmie, think I’m getting there now, what a day 🙄

Oh Fluffybee what a day you have had, so sorry it happened. I had to go to doctors surgery at teatime to get an injection and just had to stand outside only for a couple of minutes until the nurse phoned my mobile to go in and that was long enough to be in the cold.Get warm treat yourself to a walnut whip.

Best wishes Pauline

Are you ok now ?

Hope you’re all cuddled up nice and warm, it’s like that everywhere isn’t it to wait outside, but that’s how things are 😞

I’m out of whips it’s been a terrible day 🤭🤭🤭 xxx

Oh that’s awful being out of whips😂 hope you start to feel more comfortable soon.I am fine it’s worse for me when it’s cold and windy, then I find it hard to breathe. Before masks I used to wear a snood and pull it over my mouth and that helped.

Have a good night.

Oh Fluffybee what a dreadful day. 💕

Now that you have given the oramorph a trial I hope you feel more confident about using it when needed.

You definitely deserve Walnut Whips !

Thinking of you and hope all that waiting around you didn't catch a chill.

Take care 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Og Fluffybee what a day. I am so sorry to hear that post. Glad you are feeling better now. I have never heard the term "warmie" but sounds cute. I assume it is either a hot eater bottle or your oven 😂

Hi Smileyian

First of all how are you getting on ?

A warmie is something very special, a very good friend told me about.

Mine is a pink fluffy hippo you put in the microwave to heat up, perfect for chest pain, forever thankful for that tip it really helps a lot 😊

Tks Fluffybee. I am reasonably okay and thanks for asking. 2 or 3 mild chest pains over the last month, seemingly due to various types of emotion. I would love a Pink Hippo but I don't think my microwave is big enough haha. Got the idea though and so glad it works for you FluffyHip - take very good care of yourself over the winter.

Breathing and other symptoms do get worse in cold weather b

Wrap a neck scarf around your mouth and nose... it’s the cold air it’s narrows your airway

Molben profile image

Hi, I am glad you said that. I have found walking in the cold and wind horrible. I just start getting breathless. I have thought about having a spray of my GTN. I don't really like using it.

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply toMolben

I don’t like to use it as it stings my mouth really badly, and a few orher things, why don’t you want to use the GTN

Molben profile image
Molben in reply toFluffybee

There is no real reason really. Don't like the headache though that it gives. If I am out walking I am usually walking with my husband and I don't think he understands why I am getting breathless when its cold and I am not sure what he thinks when I use the spray!!! Perhaps he thinks I going to collapse or something! I haven't worn a scarf because I thought if I am breathless that will make me worse but I will try and if necessary I will use my GTN spray.

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply toMolben

Luckily I have a couple of people who understand what I’m going through but not anyone else, people haven’t heard of it or when you explain my arteries are fine they think all is fine!!!!!!!

I don’t know why the GTN spray really stings ... it sort of tastes like alcohol but I’ve had another one that’s minty that’s much better but my GP’s surgery haven’t responded to me requesting to have the minty one instead.

How have you been? I find the cold is definitely something that’s made me worse as does stress, looks like it may be a tough winter for most of us on here, this is my first winter with it 🥺
