First of all thank you all for your replies it means a lot and really helpful great to have the support 😊

Just wanted to ask if anyone has had chest pain just standing still but holding something in your arms, like a 2pint of milk while you’re waiting in a queue.

Holding it like you sort of would a baby, it’s happened several times now, I’ve taken my GTN spray and it’s calmed down, goodness knows what causes that, I don’t think I’ve gone nuts but thought I’d ask anyone else if they had the problem.

🥴 I know it’s a stupid question but needed to ask !!!!!!! 🥴

Hi Fluffbee,

Lifting anything heavy can cause me pain, and I find doing anything where my arms are held above shoulder height (painting, drilling etc) exhausting and that can bring on the pain too. And of course it's cold now so everything is worse anyway....sigh...

Hi Fluffybee

I find the pain unpredictable with carrying, such as holding the basket around the supermarket it will start to happen when around half full.

Also I find if I’m having a bad day with it, and then I happen to have a conversation with someone it disappears, ie my mind is taken off it , then it can come back again later 🤔

Stress /worry is definitely the main trigger. I think it will probably feel worse with cold and as this is my first winter with it, I’m starting to wear vest tops under usual clothing!

I hope that you managed to get your dental problems sorted out in the end 😌

I have to check Fluffybee are you sure there wasn't a hundred weight of Walnut Whips hidden under the milk 🤣😜

Sorry, just had to !

Actually yes I have had pain come on in similar circumstances.

Will be interesting to see what other replies you get since you and I are fairly new at this particular game 🙁

In my case I did mention it once to GP who said if gtn worked don't worry ! Fine for him to say🙄

Hope you have a relaxed weekend.

Take care

Hi Ellie Flump 🤭🤭🤭

I wouldn’t want you any other way, sadly no walnut whips, there’s a bulk buyer amongst us !!!!!!!

I just realised the link of holding something with a little weight to it was causing me to have the usual cardiac pain, had to put it down and shuffle the basket along in the queue, GTN spray out which luckily helped.

It is fine for him to say 🙄

I’m realising there’s so much to learn about all this and in so many ways, I keep thinking.. no.... that cannot be something else to do with it and it usually is.

Have a nice weekend also, the sun is out here, hope it is where you are.

Love wellie flump 💐🌷🌞 👢 xxx

I have pain if l hold my arms up or if I’m bending over. The cold weather is particularly paid for pain. I’m yet to be diagnosed but in the process of having tests

I’m the same as you with those symptoms, have the Dr’s said what they think you have wrong ?

I have only just started having tests last week l had an ECG 2 weeks time I’m due to have an ultrasound. 2014 l was diagnosed with leaky valve so assuming it’s something to do with progression. What is your diagnosis ?

I’ve had and ECG that’s picked up abnormalities, ultrasound that shower the bottom of my heart wasn’t pumping efficiently, my coronary arteries are completely clear, and angina.

Just waiting for the results of a MRI stress perfusion scan. Depending on that I’m hoping I’ll get more information but my cardiologist said he thinks I have coronary artery spasms and microvascular spasms.

Lots going on just need to wait a bit longer for answers but now we’re in lock down I don’t know how long it will take. I’m lucky to have had the MRI done before the lockdown.

I hope you get the results and tests done ASAP, the wait is horrible isn’t it !!

Yes. If I have a basket about half full, sometimes less, I too have to put it on the ground and move it along I can't hold or carry it as it triggers tightness and dull pain. I've been told I have the same as you fluffybee. It also comes on when I'm lifting things like bedsheets up over my head when trying to fold them and even ironing (that's my excuse & I'm sticking to it!) now I can't walk more than about 10 steps or the tightness comes on, it has got steadily worse. I also get it when resting. Will be having a stent due to some blockage in RCA but don't expect that to have any effect on the mvd/cas and I hope it doesn't make it worse. Dealing with a huge amount of stress atm which doesn't help.

Good luck with the walnut whip hunt... I wonder... 'munch munch' ...who bought.... 'gobble gobble' ..... all the walnut...... (smacks lips and sighs joyously)....whips..... Terrible carry on....

Oooooh not you as well Divasong, how could you !!!!!!! I’m so upset you’ve come to emptying the shelves of walnut whips 😂😂😂

So sorry you’re getting worse pain, everything crossed when you have the stent done there will be some improvement.

Stress with me is the absolute worst for bringing on pain, I’ve got a lot going on as well, think it’s more ongoing for quite some time and knowing that doesn’t help 🥺
