Pregnancy/delivery (in particular c sections) and blood thinners
Hi ladies, I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant and so far so good. I have APS and FVL so I'm on 2 dalteparin 5000 injections and a mini aspirin a day. I am looking to hear your experiences of childbirth on blood thinners, specifically women who have had c sections. Were epidurals or spinal taps a problem

Vaccine hesitation
As some who has had a liver transplant and on immunosuppressants obviously and also having had a portal vein thrombosis I’m reluctant to have the covid19 vaccine As reported early on in this “pandemic” certain vaccines were and still are responsible for clotting, besides the clotting issue the fact

Cancer Doctor Recommends Xofigo (Radium 223) Because PSA is Rising Again After 10 Months of ADT with Firmagon and Zytiga
My PSA started rising again 2 months ago. It is now at 37. The highest PSA was 160 when this all started about a year ago. Testosterone is still negligible. Recent bone scan shows some improvement in old bone metastases but a couple of new ones just popped up. The VA oncologist is scheduling me for

Diagnosis for endometriosis
Hi all I had a baby 4 months ago. She is our miracle following multiple miscarriages and having to go through IVF. I had to have an emergency c section and when the consultant came in to see me after the op advised me that it looked like I had endometriosis. It wasn’t put on my notes but advised me

Baby Day!!
The day of our planned c section finally came around yesterday and our beautiful Casper was born. 7 embryo transfers before we finally had success and were able to complete our family. Let the fun (and sleepless nights) begin!

1yr 3 months Sober but still Scared
I’m a 38 year older female that has always been thin and in shape. I started heavily drinking around the age of 24. It started off slowly. Bartending and waitressing was my occupation of choice back then. Mostly because you were almost encouraged to drink while working at the places I worked. I took

Painful lumps near c section scar?
Anyone suffer from these? Did you have them surgically removed? Did they come back? Are they painful during period only or all the time? I have 2 lumps that hurt and swell only during period which suggests endometriosis. I just want to know if these will ever go away or get worse? How have you treated

liver Function test ratios and cirrhosis
Hi Im a little confused and cant find any real answers online. When they talk about AST/ ALT ratios, is that around raised liver enzymes. For example if your AST was 20 which is well in the normal range and ALT was 15 then if you put that into ratio calculations and up pops cirrhosis, or is that ratio

First question from a newbie, about fatty liver diagnosis and results.
Hi everyone. This is my first post here and hopefully it will be my last – no offense. I’ve been ghosting here for quite a while, and I’m very grateful to you all for what I’ve learned. Brief bio: I’m a 47-year old male. I’ve been an excessive binge drinker all my adult life, with drugs thrown in

The start of the journey?
Having spent almost 2 years going backwards and forwards to my doc, telling him I don't feel at all well, I finally threw up blood. I took myself off to hospital and have been told i have scarring on my liver. I'm a bit at a loss as to what happens next, as i seem to have been given this info and cast

SENSITIVE. Do you worry about your health with doing IVF?
Hi all, I hope you're all well and soldiering on! :) I've just started my third IVF cycle and reading through the possible side effects of some new medication I'm taking (pergoveris) I can't help worrying for my long-term health. I'm aware the list of side effects is long and lots of people will only

My dr said upon questioning how can bloods be satisfactory if they are the same that they have been consistent. True Then she said retest in a year. I said no not satisfactory to me. 3 months then well what’s the point of the blood tests if nothing is done about results. So then she asks if I had been

Autumn Budget 2021 - Alcohol Missed Opportunity
Once again another great win for the Brewery industry in the Chancellor's (Rishi Sunak is a teetotal) autumn budget. This isn’t a political statement here, but an observation of just how powerful the brewing industry is. The voices of the “Alcohol Health Alliance” have been totally ignored. The NHS

Test results
Hi there, a little follow up from my last post, si my bloods came back normal and the receptionist said my Dr didn't want any follow up after my us scan so she said it's probably normal , should I book an appointment with the Dr to discuss this? I'm also on Spironolactone tablets for fluid in my stomach

Pain after period finishes?
My endometriosis pain starts on first day of period and lasts throughout my period and about 4/5 days after. Although painful the pain tends to get way worse in the days after the bleeding stops. Also to add to the mystery my pain turns into something weird, which I can only describe as internal itching
