Hi ,I'm 57 with Cirrhosis (diagnosed 2015 after being informed a blood test in 2007 was pos 'Hep C' with v/high viral count/chronic).
In 07/22 I was imobilised with Covid which for 3 weeks absolutely knocked me for 6.
08/22 my GP felt a LFT was needed as I wasn't getting any better. Results were enough to worry GP (ALP=299, ALT=137, SSGT=773) and requested repeat 2 weeks later.
A few weeks later results came back
08/22 (ALP=436, ALT=279, SSGT=1133,)
12/22 (ALP=713, ALT=157, SSGT=1536)
I haven't had a drink in 20+ years (never a heavy drinker)
Not smoked 30+ years
Has anyone else had anything like this? And has it settled down?
Thanks

Hi, I’m sure others will reply but it might be worth calling the British Liver Trust Helpline, the nurses there may have come across something similar and/or be able to advise. Sorry I don’t have personal experience of this to share.
Welcome to the forum tipovtong, just to clarify was your Hep C treated and removed? Has your viral load been checked post covid just to make sure it hasn't recurred?
Covid sadly left many people with liver issues - triggering something akin to auto immune hepatitis type illness in some plus other more technical things I haven't got the qualifications to interpret.
Having Covid on top of cirrhosis could potentially have destabilized your liver.
I hope you are under hepatology and receiving regular monitoring, it may be that they need to instigate some treatment to bring those inflammation markers down.
