AST/SGOT 57
Greetings everyone, I recently took LFT and found out that AST level is above normal range and so is Bilirubin Direct. I met the doctor but he did not talk much and gave dose of URSOSAN 250 I am used to consume alcohol and have no excerise routine. I work in IT so mostly sitting througout the day.

Endometriosis?
Hi everyone My journey is quite a lengthy one so I’ll attempt to shorten it by containing the most important info… when I was a teenager I had awfully painful, extremely heavy periods at times they would bring me to tears, this improved after having children but was still far from “normal” whatever

Fibroscan
Hi everyone. I have been concerned about the health of my liver since February this year as I experienced some pain in my right side and bloating. I have had an alcohol problem for many years but recently it had got a lot worse. In my panic I saw the doctor who referred me for Lft. The results came

Psychotic Episodes
Just had a very successful liver transplant 8 weeks ago and am in the very lucky position to feeling better than I have in years. Now everything has settled into a nice routine I just wanted to raise awareness to post op psychotic episodes. I was warned that it is common for post-transplant patients

After Urolift Failure What next
I had the Urolift procedure in June 2021. No change to symptoms at all apart from near 'urgency incontinence'. A recent cystoscopy revealed that one end of one of the four implants used was in my bladder (rare occurrence) which has started to 'crust' and a stone has formed which has now been lasered

Preparing for a c section
Embarrassed to be asking this 😳 but what prep did you do for a planned c section down there eg waxing/razor? I don't know whether to book a bikini wax but it's been about 10 years since I've been for one and feeling quite anxious about it all 😱 I'm nearly 31 weeks pregnant

**Sensitive** Birth Announcement
Hello wonderful group, I have spent quite a few years receiving amazing support from this forum. I would read the birth announcement and feel a tiny bit of hope that some day, that will be me. Even though it felt like a million miles away, I’m so overwhelmed to announce that I have made it to the other

non alcoholic drinks
hi I'm new to all of this so I'm sure this has probably been asked before so apologies. Can I ask peoples advice/opinions on non alcoholic versions of drinks ie gin, beer etc. are they any better/safer for the liver? I know there’s no alcohol but still concerned there might be other things lurking

Hi all, Well at last I've had my 6 months routine MRI liver scan and liver monitoring blood results back after 6 weeks of worrying and fretting. No features of concern with scan and AFP bloods<1.3 normal. I'm just wondering if any of you know if the bloods for HCC are also for liver function aswell

Following on from my earlier DVLA post.

Update
Hi, my partner is still in hospital with what we were told was liver failure /decomp Cirrhosis. They seem to think its now Alcoholic Hepatitis as his last US scan doesn't really suggest Cirrhosis and he has no ascites. He is still yellow and is having a colonoscopy today. The consultant has also said

Good day all, It's been a while since i posted and a few peeps had reached out so thought I'd provide an update. Here's a link to my original post detailing my chronic liver issues. Since then, a liver biopsy confirmed cirrhosis, most likely due to autoimmune condition. https://healthunlocked.com/
