Lipitor and Celebrex slows prostate cancer !?
I was looking over some clinical trials and came across this "
Lipitor
and Celebrex" 2017 trial. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5249253/ So, it looks like a statin (I think a water based one) plus NSAID (Celebrex) may slow down PC.

I only took

Cholesterol Meds, to take or not to take?
She put me on Atorvastin (
Lipitor
) and within the 2 weeks my urine was very dark orange. I emailed her and said I don't believe this is a good thing. I want my cholesterol medication to be changed. She changed it to Simvastatin (Zocor) and that seems to have corrected the problem significantly.

HI, I am new here.
Presently I am on aspirin, 325mg,
Lipitor
, 40mg and plavix, 75mg. I take vitamin d supplements too. I am hoping my antibodies were a transient result of my shingles infection or flu shot. Has anyone had their APS antibodies disappear.

What Brand Of Statin Are You Prescribed?
I understand that the NHS has approved at least five statins for prescription;
Lipitor
, Lescol, Lipostat, Crestor, and Zocor. However, the only brand I hear actually being prescribed is
Lipitor
, a member of the "atorvastatin" family of statins.

80 mg Atorvastatin and Anxiety
My doc put me on Plavix, Metropralol, Ramipril, and 20 mg
Lipitor
/atorvastatin. The heart attack was a shock and I had some initial anxiety/PTSD over it, but with some counseling my life resolved.

She takes 40 mgs of lasix, Eliquis, metoprolol, magnesium, and
Lipitor
. What would help her at this point? The cardiologist seems to be just managing her condition, but she is getting more uncomfortable with her symptoms. The only symptom she doesn’t have is a cough.

Don't know what to do.
That was last June, 2018 - he changed me onto SOTALOL 80mg twice daily (also taking RAMIPRIL 5mg, RIVAROXABSN and
LIPITOR
). It worked until the end of Dec when I had a bout of AF that tailed off after 5 days.

That’s assuming any statin would work in similar ways as
Lipitor
. I’m thinking of asking my dr to switch me from simivastin to
Lipitor
. I welcome the thoughts of the many guys on this site more knowledgeable than I on all things PC. Schwah

Statins anti inflammatory effect on arthritis?
The pain went away suddenly after about 3 weeks on
lipitor
. All my docs say no connection. After googling
Lipitor
and reading about anti inflammatory effects of statins, I think I disagree. Anyone else here have any similar experience with statin drugs?

and put me on Crestor. My weight is down 15 lbs since the last appointment. No side effects so far!

To take or not take Statins?
My Cardiologist wants me to take 40mg
Lipitor
. From my research it seems the benefits of a statin are over stated and the potential problems understated. How can one find out if high choleterol is causing ones athrosclorosis. Many people have high cholesterol and no heart disease.

Statin Choice.
I have just requested my GP to up my statin from 10 mg Simvastatin to 20mg and I have been placed on a better medication
Lipitor
Atorvastatin. My heart attack risk actually falls into the guide lines where I should be on 80 mg of the above statin.

I have been doing all the things you are supposed to but I am wondering if the dramatic increase could be not using
Lipitor
for about 4 months?

New and Confused
My primary told me to stop my Crohn's meds (Lialda) and
Lipitor
. I immediately felt better. Bloodwork was done 6 months later and the ALP was 230, GGT 268, AST/ALT stable.
