Have Hashimoto's and Dr. says cholesterol is high, Thyroid high and Vit D low; can't take Lipitor, generic Lipitor, Zocor or Crestor, help
What can I take if it really is my cholesterol and not my thyroid doing this; or is it really my thyroid out of whack? Help need advice before Dr. prescribes RX.

Statistician and all things can be turned around
It says: "That means in a large clinical study, 3% of patients taking a sugar pill or placebo had a heart attack compared to 2% of patients taking
Lipitor
." Now do some simple math.

statins and liver enzymes.
Post failed stent causing MI and CABG, I take
lipitor
20mg, bisoproplol, clopidogrel, omacor and ranitidine daily. Last blood tests revealed liver gamma at 130, (should be below 70). I have overall cholesterol of 2.8 (low), normal BMI, low BP, do not drink alcohol and other liver enzymes normal.

Can you help
So from feeling in rude health, my GP is now asking my to start taking 50mg losartan potassium for my high bp and 20mg
lipitor
for the cholesterol and told it must be my genetics at fault. as I had hit the three markers that put me at high risk age , high bp and high cholesterol.

I had CABG in 2009 due to stent closing up and causing MI. Still here, but have low blood pressure episodes/ vasovagal episodes/ presyncope.
I take plavix,
lipitor
,ranitidine and bisoprolol (1.25mg) daily. Cardiologist says all ok, but I never feel physically great due to the above. Should I be concerned? Got CABG when I was 52, am female and had no risk factors before this.

STRESSED ABOUT HIGH CHOLESTEROL
Simvastatin did not bring my levels down at all so was put on
Lipitor
20mg but when my levels were still not coming down significantly it was combined with Ezetimibe 10mg. My levels came down from around 9.2 to 5.7 then 5.2.

Statins and Insomnia. Would the time of the day when the pills are taken affect this?
Both of us suffer with insomnia but my mother's is even worse since switching from
Lipitor
to generic. We are wondering if insomnia is inevitable, whether it is the condition or the medication which causes it, and whether taking the pill earlier in the day would alleviate it?

Possible side effects since moving on to generic atorvastatin - continue or stop taking meds?
He was adamant that
Lipitor
and its gereric equivalent are, and I quote "absolutely identical, it's just the packaging that's different". I asked if I could go back onto
Lipitor
, and he basically said no.

Lipitor
