Some (relative) good news
I'm hoping the walking I'm doing will help and I can stay away from
Lipitor
. I don't need or want muscle or bone pain.

Do some meds trigger asthma
Meds as follows amlodopine Digoxin
Lipitor
Edoxaban Lansoprazole I am now on Fostair and Montelukast for asthma control which developed in October 2023. Doctor said I am allergic to grass pollen but never had a problem since early 20`s when I had hay fever, nothing since.

What’s Next?
I have been on a statin,
Lipitor
, for years. My PCP attributes the coronary issues to prolonged use of Lupron. My questions are 1. What’s next after Pluvicto? I believe it’s carboplatin, which I understand is platinum-based which my cardiologist states is not good for the heart and 2.

40mg to 80mg Lipitor
My cardiac consultant, who I trust implicitly has increased my statin dose from 40 to 80mg (
Lipitor
). Should I expect any side effects. I dont appear to have much trouble with 40mg except finding it a bit slow to wake up/ get moving in the morning.

Amlodipine and Atorvastatin in One
Also know as Norvasc and
Lipitor
, and both are combined into one pill called Caduet. My Dr prescribed it as a precaution since I have a slightly higher blood pressure and cholesterol than desired for my age (55). Worst among the side effects is a weird pain in the upper stomach area.

statin allergy
I tried
Lipitor
and a half. He gave me headaches. Major stomach aches, and made me very confused. With Crestor I only started at last night the effect is a knife like pain say 6/10 around my bowels for 6 hours. Should I continue with crestor. Has anyone else felt this pain and continued?

Statins and dreams
Hi all, I know that statins can cause vivid dreams according to the side effects sheet I have with my
Lipitor
Atorvastatin. I never used to even notice my dreams until I started with those pills. Luckily my dreams are just vivid and memorable rather than hideous and scary!

sudden hearing loss
Other thought was I had taken a statin
Lipitor
for 4 months which although rare can cause hearing loss ( small print on packet instruction leaflet).

Pros and Cons of Lipitor
My doctor has prescribed 20mg of
Lipitor
(1 tab/day). I haven't started using it yet. I am at stage 3 a/b CKD, prediabetic, with high blood pressure meds (Maxide, Losartan, and Atenolol). My cholesterol is not high, but I believe
Lipitor
is being used as prevention since I am almost 73 years old.

My father and sister both died of heart disease in their 60s so do I have it too?
My nuclear CT scan revealed a calcium score of 890 so my cardiologist put me on
Lipitor
. MRIs indicate my arteries are clear. This morning, I am scheduled to wear a heart monitor for three days followed by a CT angiogram.

edoxaban and topical diclofenic gel?
So I was started on the holy grail of Bisoprolol, Edoxaban and
Lipitor
and told I’d need to mange on paracetamol. So for the last three months before my surgery and the two since, that’s what I’ve tried to do.

High Cholesterol
I took
Lipitor
and stopped it because of side effects. Now, I'm CKD 3b (gfr=32) and so fearful that my kidney function will decline if I start the statins. My kidney doctor who was great just left area and I'll see another kidney doctor in three weeks. I definitely will discuss this with him.
