This encapsulates the basic logical problem of diagnosis and treatment
In some hypothyroid patients who are dissatisfied with treatment, especially those with a polymorphism in type 2 deiodinase, combined treatment with levothyroxine and
liothyronine
may be preferred.

Liothyronine News
https://products.mhra.gov.uk/ I have identified two changes to
liothyronine
licences. First, an
Accord
20 microgram tablet is now listed. Does not contain lactose, mannitol or acacia.

Link between thyroid disease and restless legs/limbs. whoops sorry this is a duplicate post 🙄
I recently became overmedicated with Thyroid meds and I think but am not sure that too much levothyroxin or
Liothyronine
may have exasperated my RLS. Anybody out there have the two 'complaints'?

Any thoughts as to why increasing liothyronine (extended release) by just 1 mcg makes me hyper, but when not taking it I’m hypo?
I am taking 9.79 mcg
liothyronine
extended release plus .125 mcg generic synthroid in a.m. for Hashimoto's. In the afternoon I was taking 8.79 mcg
liothyronine
and crashing by mid-afternoon.

MY JOURNEY ON THYROID MEDS
Started a new therapy last July: 60mg NP Thyroid + 25mcg
Liothyronine
3 times a day + Adrenal extract 300mg, 250mg, 200mg, 150mg throughout the day + 0.1mg Fludrocorticone (this help raise aldosterone). I saw some improvement of my hypothyroid symptoms, but never even close at feeling optimal.

White blood cell count low and neutrophil count low since starting T3 medication.
I started combined treatment of
Liothyronine
T3 with my regular Levothyroxine T4 a couple of years ago now. I’ve really improved and gone from strength to strength.

What does endocrinologist mean please?
I appear not to have any DIO2 genetic test results (to support the comment) …. you may not have an optimum level of T3 but that is not quite the same as having evidence of
Liothyronine
deficiency.

Liothyronine Sodium Vs Liothyronine Hydrochloride T3
Hi, I'm currently on T3 -
Liothyronine
Sodium by SigmaPharm, 10mcg (5mcg twice). However my pharmacy have said they can get the Thybon Henning 20, which is
Liothyronine
Hydrochloride for free. I was paying for the other T3. I just need my endocrinologist to specify the Thybon Henning version.

Current test results
I then was started on
Liothyronine
only. Titrated to quite a high dose. My Ft3 went high but I didn't feel better at any stage. FT4 has always been only just in range. I tried introducing levo and tweaking doses of both of them. I am now on 87 levo and 15 Lio.

Buying Liothyronine (T3)
I have just been prescribed
Liothyronine
(T3) from my private endocrinologist, would anyone recommend the best place to buy it from overseas?

Levothyroxine Monotherapy and Cancer
In the light of recent research, I feel levothyroxine /
liothyronine
combination therapy should now be the usual treatment for primary hypothyroidism. A relatively small amount of
liothyronine
would avoid having above average fT4 levels as well as giving symptomatic improvement for some patients.

A tale of two patients with hypersensitivity reactions to levothyroxine
We have had a number of members say that they have been unable tolerate levothyroxine - or
liothyronine
. This double case report might be of interest.
