I found that very costly though as my clinic is in Spain so had to pay for scans privately. Second modified natural I used ovulation tests instead. I think both methods are ok just different.
hey! Yes with modified natural (with trigger) it’s nothing to do with LH etc as the trigger forces the ovulation (a bit like a fresh cycle) so it’s done on scans. If you weren’t having a trigger then it would be done on LH.
We did this same type of transfer and it resulted in my baby boy. Good luck!
I’m sure they do use it sometimes but it’s not needed everywhere.
From my understanding It’s more done to not miss ovulation but if scanning regularly it’s not needed and your doctor will know your body. For example with OP they have triggered before her normal cycle ovulation date so very little risk of early ovulation and the trigger will induce ovulation then.
I'm going through the same and that's our protocol too.
Our clinic asks that we use LH tests as a sort of back-up, to ensure that ovulation is 'caught' in case it starts to happen between scans. Their priority is notvyo miss it, rather than to align with it, I think.
They were clear that what was important was having lining of suitable thickness and clearly dominant follicles, then they'd trigger.
My egg collection also didn't exactly correlate with when I'd normally ovulate. It is a different process!
