How to stop heartburn/GERD
I've been on 100mg levo for about 14mths now. I take Vit D and iron supplements (tummy friendly apparently) and feel well..... except for fact I now get almost daily attacks of GERD. I've done the baking powder test and feel quite convinced I have low acid issues. I take apple cider vinegar and Betaine

I’m after some advice I had the Heidelberg test a few months ago and it diagnosed low stomach acid and pyloric insufficiency but just recently I have been having horrendous heartburn and a bitter taste in my mouth along with nausea my doctor has prescribed Esomeprazole 40mg twice a day but surely that

Back on T4 only with Endocrinologist. Feel good but still bloated daily 😞
So I’m being monitored by an Endocrinologist in South Wales. I’ve decided to drop my NDT (was on Thai Thiroyd which is no longer available). I’m now only on Accord Levothyroxine. The specific brand is named on my prescription, and the Endocrinologist said I should not be on different brands (hurrah for

Vegetarian Pepsin?
I’m told my daughter needs to supplement with HCL and Pepsin. However I can only find pepsin made from pigs and she is allergic to all things mammalian (alpha gal from a tick bite!). Does anyone know of a vegetarian form of pepsin?

Is taking hcl with pepsin and not feeling a reaction like a warm stomach or acid reflux a sign of low stomach acid in itself?
Hello sorry to bother everybody but when I have a very specific question I can’t find the answer on google I turn here. I’ve been taking hcl and pepsin since I’ve been told it aids in digestion and that low stomach acid is possibly responsible for development of food allergies and infections like sibo

what interferes with hcl and pepsin?
Hello I’m hypothyroid and wondering if anyone has any information on what interferes with hcl and pepsin? I’m currently taking dhea and progesterone and wondering if either of these would effect stomach acid. Can’t find anything online so thought I’d ask the experts

PMS or Underactive thyroid .??
Can underactive thyroid give PMS symptoms. At 55 yrs of age I suspect that my 3 months of missing periods are probably my body's way of letting me know I'm going through the change. However question I have is . Could the pains in my lower stomach be related to thyroid medication . I currently take 100mcg

Questions regarding symptoms
Is it normal to have random bouts of nausea and dizziness (feeling like your going to pass out)? I’ve had lower blood pressure in general, but was higher for a bit and now seemingly gone down again around the same time as starting injections and have had a few of these episodes. I am taking a b complex

Latest labs look good?
Here's the deal. I've felt terrible since June 2017 when I was diagnosed with postpartum thyroiditis. I likely had Hashimotos for many years prior but wasn't ever diagnosed. At the time of dx, my TSH was over 100 and free levels were tanked. Symptoms flooded in over the following months including crushing

Betaine hydrochloride with pepsin
Hi does anyone take this? I just bought the solgar brand and only just looked up side effects now as it just got delivered. I’m just a bit weary about taking it. There doesn’t seem to be an awful lot of information on it and whether it actually works. So does anyone else take these on a regular basis

Breathing problem: Silent Reflux a hidden epidemic
Often overlooked and misdiagnosed, silent reflux affects over 50 million Americans. The backflow of stomach acid and digestive enzymes (pepsin) can wreak havoc on your esophagus (the food passage that goes from your throat to your stomach), as well as your ears, nose, throat, vocal cords, sinuses, mouth
