CLL, Ibrutinib and Yersinia Enterocolitica Infection
Doc recommended I use Miralax for 4 to 5 days and see if it would help to "unload" my intestinal track and prescribed
Levsin
to be used as need to help with the cramping, and to consult with my Oncologist/Hematologist if the symptoms persisted.

Digestive enzymes/betaine pepsin in the morning
Hi friends! I have a two questions. I hope that's okay: I avoid eating or drinking anything for one hour after taking my thyroid meds. By then, I am ravenous and need to eat because I have blood sugar issues (nothing diagnosable, just feel lousy). Is it okay to take Betaine pepsin and/or a digestive

Hi everyone, Wondering if anyone could help my decipher my results again? For context, I am 41 and trying to conceive. IFAB testing guidelines per Mayo clinic laboratory website
I found this IFAB test guideline. I found a few things pretty interesting. This particular lab which is the lab that did my IFAB test says that you should be fasting for 8 hours before you take this test and you should not have had any B12 injections within 2 weeks prior to the test. Another interesting

IBS-C Levsin or Bentyl?
I have both
Levsin
and Bentyl. If you have IBS-C, do you find one works better than another? What dose do you take? I have 0.125
Levsin
and 20mg Bentyl. I don’t take both at the same time. Just wondering what your experience is with these pills.

Gut Health/ Gut Healing
Hi all, I feel like this might be the next step in my healing journey so would be keen to hear thoughts. What are the different protocols you have tried to correct 'leaky gut', gut dysbiosis and gut infections? Beyond the elimination diets, gluten free, paleo etc. Has anyone found the following helpful

Help with diagnosing gut issues that suddenly started 18 months ago - Related to sub-optimal B12?
Hi - this is a repost from IBS Network community. I saw posts on here that lower than optimal B12 could be the cause of my gut issues, which dont' seem to be IBD/IBS as calprotectin is low. Any advice - let me know! I'm new to this community and hoping to get some guidance on my gut issues. The heaviness

Diverticular disease, IBD or IBS?
I also take
Levsin
and Bentyl but they don't do much. Tylenol and heating pad helps a little. I have a defecography and a sigmoidoscopy scheduled. He suggested maybe SUDD or SCD (segmental colitis).

Lpr- anyone done a peptest
I have had ongoing burning throat on my right side for a year. It initially started out as a infection but this has cleared and I'm left with burning continuously in the day. No problems at night . I had a MRI clear and throat endoscopy though the guy who did it said all was normal and I had strep throat

GERD And Acid Reflux And What We Can Do About It
As it turns out, GERD is 4 times more likely to occur in PwP, surprise. As if PwP need another surprise health issue ! What Is GERD? GERD or GastroEsophageal Reflux Disease is what happens when the Sphincter at the base of the esophagus that connects the mouth to the stomach, no longer closes tightly

Betaine and Pepsin- does it work? No response to treatment
Hello All, Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas Day. I managed to eat a little of what I normally can’t eat. I paid for it 😂 I wanted to ask if anyone has tried Betaine and Pepsin and what was the result? Did anyone’s reflux and any other symptoms such as cramps, stomach pains, etc eased or disappeared

Betaine with pepsin or PPI?
So I was diagnosed with a Hiatal Hernia and GERD ( Barretts) on Friday after getting a scope. The gastroenterologist wants me to start taking PPI medication to reduce acid. My research leads me to believe that us hashi sufferers more than likely suffer from low stomach acid. Im thinking of ignoring his

How to stop heartburn/GERD
I've been on 100mg levo for about 14mths now. I take Vit D and iron supplements (tummy friendly apparently) and feel well..... except for fact I now get almost daily attacks of GERD. I've done the baking powder test and feel quite convinced I have low acid issues. I take apple cider vinegar and Betaine

Back on T4 only with Endocrinologist. Feel good but still bloated daily 😞
So I’m being monitored by an Endocrinologist in South Wales. I’ve decided to drop my NDT (was on Thai Thiroyd which is no longer available). I’m now only on Accord Levothyroxine. The specific brand is named on my prescription, and the Endocrinologist said I should not be on different brands (hurrah for

Vegetarian Pepsin?
I’m told my daughter needs to supplement with HCL and Pepsin. However I can only find pepsin made from pigs and she is allergic to all things mammalian (alpha gal from a tick bite!). Does anyone know of a vegetarian form of pepsin?
