Hello sorry to bother everybody but when I have a very specific question I can’t find the answer on google I turn here.
I’ve been taking hcl and pepsin since I’ve been told it aids in digestion and that low stomach acid is possibly responsible for development of food allergies and infections like sibo.
I’ve now reached a dose of about 6000mg and I’m still not reaching a cut off point! Is my stomach acid that rubbish?
Is it a matter of just going higher or is there some other explanation? Hypothyroid but now in the correct range.

The brand is Thorne though who are known for being reliable! At least that’s what I’m always hearing on joe rogan podcast haha Do you feel something very noticeable when you take to much?
Could you give more details? " From reading on this forum, the "correct range" doesn't seem to mean very much where thyroid blood tests are concerned, so if you could post your results there will be lots of knowledgeable people on here willing to give you their thoughts.
If you don't know your results (preferably TSH, free T4, free T3 and nutrients vitamin D, vitamin B12, folate and ferritin - though in the NHS just TSH and maybe free T4 are more usual), you can ask your surgery for them. They are obliged to provide them for you, whether via online access or printed copies.
It might be that your thyroid medication is not quite right or nutrients optimal.
If I thought of those factors were the issue they would be the factors I would be addressing. I need want some general advise from people who may have used this suppliment in the past.
