Erfa to Liothyronine Thybon Henning Dose Conversion
Hello, I used to take ERFA and levothyroxine but as my T3 was slightly high, my new Dr has put me on Thybon Henning so it will be a bit easier to manage T3 and T4 dosing (it's difficult to cut down on NDT as if I lower it I'm also lowering my total T4 dose, and I run low in T4). I have a feeling he

Sigmapharm liothyronine
With my latest prescription for liothyronine I was dispensed Sigmapharm, manufactured by Waddell. (This wasn’t in a marked container but that information comes from the patient information sheet they attached to the bottle.) I can’t find this listed on the ThyroidUK list of meds. Is it the same as one

please forgive how long winded this will be I’m spaced out and not with it at all. I only posted a few months ago and my T4 results were a little on the high side. I was on 200mcg of Levo and alternate day 225mcg. I’ve reduce this down to 200mcg over 5 days and two doses of 25mcg over 2 days. Example

T4 levels in relation to T3 dose
can anyone tell me - is it normal to have a T4 at the low end of the range once you start taking Liothyronine T3.? I take 125mcg thyroxine and 10mcg Liothyronine 3x a day. My T3 comes back mid range and T4 at the bottom of the range whilst TSH is v v suppressed (0.01). I’m sorry but I will need to get

T3 Questionnaire
Thyroid UK, along with the other thyroid groups, had a meeting with the British Thyroid Association yesterday to discuss the joint consensus on liothyronine. The meeting went well and we think, in one or two instances, our concerns were accepted. We have some next steps, one of which is to collate

new blood results
It is 6 weeks since i have been on 100
levothyroxine
and introduced
Liothyronine
10mcg daily. Before the test I followed protocol, no medication before, no b vitamins for week before etc. I am pleased that my ferritin has improved but unsure about T3 levels?

recurring illnesses
I’ve been trying to get stable on t3/4 combination, still a way to go as last results after increasing to 10 mcg liothyronine in 2 doses were the worst yet, t3 and t4 both at bottom of range, vitamin D draining away again despite supplements. I’ve increased levothyroxine back up to 75 ( I was advised

Dr. Bianco: video from Thyroid Foundation of Canada
from 9 months ago. Somehow it ended up in my youtube feed this morning. He makes the point that L-thyroxine doesn't always manage to result in good fT3 levels and patients need Liothyronine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGlYO_H4Gdc&t=2682s

Poor Conversion continued
Hi - see below for response from the local endo to my GP (after he asked for advice re trial of T3 as I have dud deiodinese enzymes which mean I'm a poor converter of T4 to T3) In brief I have Hashimoto's and many symptoms of hypothyroidism despite taking T4 and dose being increased to drag up levels

Does anyone prefer TEVA to ROMA Liothyronine?
For many years I was on Cynomel but after a long time in hospital I was only given T4. When I was back home I spoke to the GP and he prescribed T3 by TEVA which really suited me. Unfortunately this was changed and I was prescribed ROMA instead which made me very tired and altogether didn't suit me

Good morning, my pharmacist can not get Mercury Pharma Liothyronine.
I understand Another company has taken over. Has this LT3 been rebrandedand if so does it have the same fillers/excipients? I really do not want to change to another brand with different fillers>absorption rate>therapeutic effect. Is there an equivalent LT3 on the market with the similiar excipents?

GP Levothyroxine review appointment today
Today I had my appointment with the GP to review my Levothyroxine. He introduced himself as the GP that I am registered with not the one I was told I would see. He is Indian and even using the microphone that bluetooths directly into my hearing aids he was very difficult to understand. Several times

Thyroid Dr recommendations
I know this forum doesn’t allow replies on this but could anyone please PM me any recommendations? Preferably a Dr who can prescribe Armour and compounded liothyronine. Losing the will with the current Dr I’m with!
