How long does T3 take to enter your cells?
I have just swopped over to T3 on Dr P's advice. I don't think I can take more than quarter of a tablet (6.25) because of adrenal issues. But now trying to assess symptoms - sudden palpitations, thumping heart sensation and tremors - which last about 20 mins and start about 90 minutes after taking T3

Can someone help with test results.
Been on levo 50mcg for about 7 years after seeing endo privately, waking gasping for air and tachycardia. Normal bloods but high antibodies and tsh rising over time. Peroxidase and another antibody became positive over a year. About one and half years into meno and gp now recognises I am hypo. Tried

Effect of LDN on Adrenal Function
Hi everyone, i've been taking LDN for about a month. What is noticeable is that i'm feeling more and more tried. I already have low cortisol could this be making it worse?. I fainted again while showering last Saturday, this had stopped since on B12 injections starting just before Christmas. Why is it

Nodules & Cortisol
Been back to docs this morning - aaarrrrgggghhhh! So the ultrasound I had been told was 'totally clear' & 'perfectly normal' actually showed a nodule - 4mm apparently.. Is that big/small/what? & should it be investigated? I can still feel a lump in my throat. My cortisol result from blood taken at about

Has anyone tried topical Hydrocortisone cream 1% for adrenal issues / low cortisol?
I am not advocating anyone do this because you really need to know what you are doing - BUT has anyone tried using OTC topical hydrocortisone cream for low adrenal reserves that have not responded to adaptogens? (based on salivary cortisol profile results, not guess work!) I would be very interested

Recent Blood Tests have shown i'm now Pre-Diabetic. Is this linked with low cortisol?
Hi everyone, this was part of my bad news just after Christmas. I expected it because i've now been fat since 1990. I find it hard to exercise through painful feet, exhaustion, but i'm not exactly a couch potato either. My diet isn't that bad, i've always eaten whole grains, bread pasta, brown rice.

Glucose and Cortisol Blood test interpretation help needed please!
Hello, I am a patient of Dr Gordon Skinner and as most of you know he has passed away. Apart from being absolutely devastated about his untimely demise, I am now struggling to find anyone who may treat me as he did...symptoms first rather than lab results! I know that many of you on here are as good

Cortisol 46 advice please
My daughter has just got her result from a blood cortisol test and it is 46. Her G.P. told her to stop her levo which Dr. Skinner prescribed her, as she said she is hyper, but she does not any hyper symptoms. She has not seen any improvement on levo though. She .is now referring her to an endo. Would

What's with all the cortisol testing the Endo wants done? And why say no thyroid issue then retest me??
Hi all, just thought I'd pop by and let you know how my first appointment went. She basically dismissed thyroid as being the issue, even though my ranges for ft3 and ft4 are in the low 'normal' range (although, she still took more bloods for tsh, ft3, ft4 again, which I'm confused about) She was however

Do these bloods look normal? Seeing Endocrinologist on 5/12/2013 for the first time, what to expect?
Hi there, I'm new to this forum, but could really do with some advice. I've felt shattered for a long time now, but put it down to having 3 daughters, youngest is 3 yrs and bad birth with her, she came very fast, but then I ended up in surgery as the afterbirth would not detach (sorry TMI), Basically

Low cortisol/DHEA and now have 9am cortisol test results
I have very low cortisol and DHEA (confirmed on saliva test) Dr sent me for 9am Cortisol test which came back at 376 (Range 100 - 400) I believe from what I have read that secondary adrenal insufficiency cannot be ruled out without Synacthen test. I had a short Synacthen test done in Feb 2012 (results
