Hi

My daughter had her cortisol tested and it came back at 46. We were obviously convinced she had Addisons disease but when she had the Short syncathen test with the endo the first test came back at 220 second four hundred and something and third test six hundred and something so the endo said that rules out Addisons. When I said yes it rules out Addisons but not Adrenal fatigue he said yes she could have Adrenal fatigue but we do not treat it.

She has now seen a Nutritionist and she got her to do the Adreanal saliva test and it confirmed Adrenal fatigue. She has now prescribed her Dr. Wilsons Dynamic Powder. She only started it a few days ago so it is too early to see any improvement yet

Best wishes browny.

Hi

Sorry to say no not much improvement, she did feel a couple of times she was improving but then slipped back.

She does have other things going on though, she also has candida

and the Nutritionist is going to get her something for this.

She also has celiac disease and sticks to a strict gluten free diet but has now started with stomach problems again.

So just because it hasn't worked for her it does not mean it won't work for someone else.

Hope you are feeling better.

I have done the candida diet before, pretty intense but works wonders...I am looking more and more at my gut health as I have finally realised the importance of it and the connection to better health...There sadly is no quick fix for us, but I wish you both well on your journey to better health...Best wishes Dee

So glad your daughter does not have Addison s disease ..yes I'm going to have syncathen test as well..I think I have adrenal fatigue too but doctor won't discuss the possibility but I don't have symptoms of addisons. ..do you mind me asking what symptoms your daughter has

She has exhaustion, just wants to sleep all the time, feeling cold especially feet and hands, depression, aches and pains, constipation. She also has really low iron levels.

She also had a stool test done with the nutritionist and it shows she has candida, which can give a whole host of symptoms so nutritionist is also going to get her something for that.

Yes Iola I will keep you posted. The Nutritionist did say she would feel worse before she feels better which obviously is the last thing anybody wants, and this is in fact happening. I have just been to see her and she said she does feels worse and just wants to sleep. I have said to hang on in there as maybe this proves the powder is working (worse before better)

I have told her to get in touch with Nutritionist to ask how long before she will feel better as she did not say initially.

I will post when there is an improvement.

How old is U r daughter?

lucylocks profile image
lucylocks in reply to lola1956

She is 32, she has two small children so you can understand how hard it is for her.

My husband who has recently retired and I help her as much as we can, but I am hypo and still having problems myself. My husband has very low B12 so things are difficult at times.

She went out for a meal last night with her husband works company and enjoyed it, but she is tired today. That's a good sign she got ready to go out and had a nice time. I will keep you posted of any improvements.

How are you feeling.

lucylocks in reply to lola1956

I saw a nutrionist last week (the same one my daughter saw) she has ordered the saliva adrenal test which also includes a test to check if I am converting T4 to T3 and a stool sample test which tests for various things to check for gut issues.

She has also advise I cut down on gluten and increase my B12 Vit D and iron supplements. She is very good, much more thorough than my G.P.

Let me know if you decide to see one

I will keep you informed on any progress with my daughter and myself.

Best wishes browny

Do you mind me asking roughly what is the cost per visit ?

lucylocks profile image
lucylocks in reply to lola1956

She charges £35 which is suppose to be for one hour consultation but I was with her 1 hour 45 minutes and she did not charge me anymore. I think her follow up visits are £18. I live in East Yorkshire, (not sure where you live) but I understand things are a lot more expensive down South than here up North
