Cortisol levels
I looked for a community on Addison’s disease or adrenal problems but unfortunately there isn’t one so I thought this community would be the best to ask this in! I recently went to my doctors to ask him to carry out a Cortisol blood test as I have a lot of symptoms of both low and high but I thought

Hypothyroid. Increase Iron? New blood test results.
I am a 35 year old male. 72 kg, 6 ft. Hypothyroid for at least 15 years, probably most of my life but didn't know it. Living in New Zealand. This is a long post, but in a nutshell, I'm taking Slow Release T3 (SRT3), but it is not working as expected. I think I need to improve how cells use it, specifically

21yr old son finally got blood results back
Hi all, I have been battling my sons (21yr old) health for over 3 or 4 years now and it is an exhausting journey! Finally his blood tests have crept upwards and am hoping that the GP will look at them tomorrow, seeing that they are not 'normal' after all! Please can someone help me because I've forgotten

DUTCH Test Results
I have suspected Hashimotos disease. I've had my DUTCH test sex hormones results and I'd really like to discuss them with a medic rather than nutritionist. Is there an Endo or Gynae in the UK who would accept this test and prescribe against it if necessary? I have severely low cortisol, testosterone

Adrenal Gland Results
Hi So I just got my results back to check my adrenals cortisol as I expected the results show low cortisol. This explains why when I was on 40mg of T3 it was making me have hyper like symptoms especially after dinner and at night. Where I used to be perfectly fine on 40/60 before my Dr drastically switched

Seroquel has stopped IBS and cramping!
My therapist put me on Seroquel for insomnia, (was only getting three hours of sleep last night..for the past two years). Not only has it made me calmer, and happier, it has completely stopped by stomach cramping and IBS. It has been years since I was able to eat anything heavier than child size portion

Important to consider sleep apnoea as a contributor to thyroid, fatigue and related metabolic troubles
Hi all. This post is as the heading, but first some context. It’s a bit of an essay. I’m no doctor, so this is an account of my own experience – we each have to make our own decisions. The take-away should you conclude it may be relevant is towards the bottom. It’s perhaps old hat by now, I’m a bit

Has anyone had any experience of using 'Forever Living Aloe Vera Gel'when increasing their adrenals.
I had a low cortisol figure a few months back and have been slowly increasing with Nutri Adrenal , but I have been wondering if I should start taking some Aloe Vera Gel, as I took some a few years back when I was struggling with hypothyroid issues and after taking it for a few weeks it really made a

Is it typical for people with GCA/PMR to have low cortisol well still taking 5mg of Prednisone?
I am seeking the wisdom and knowledge of this group to help me understand low cortisol. My blood tests came back as lower than 50 in an afternoon test.

Low cortisol, T3, TSH and steroid injection in hip joint: T3 uptake improved by steroid injection?
Hi All A whole new area for me to understand now (and a long post - sorry!). I am T3 only so my TSH is normally supressed. I have arthritis and bone spurs in my hips and was recommended a steroid injection into the joint of my right hip. This has worked really well so far, but I only had it last

T3 or NDT with poor adrenals?
Just to recap. TT 18months ago. Levo till April this year and straight onto T3 only, after returning a poor conversion of t4 to t3. Having adrenaline rushes which I believe are due to low cortisol (haven't tested yet as I'm on Hyrocortisone for another 2 1/2 weeks) . Was unable to get past 15mcgs of

Myasthenia Gravis with hypothyroidism.
I have recently been quite unwell. My limbs are so weak I cannot walk far. Sometimes it’s hard to sit up or hold a knife and fork eating my food. I have hypothyroidism for 11years now and low cortisol recently. Each time I take my Levothyroxine within 2 hours my weakness gets much worse. I’m waiting

Reassurance on recent saliva cortisol results ?
Hy all have no one else to bounce thoughts off and have posted before and still digging for answers to the root of my ongoing 'fading away'! Previous thoughts re thyroid results were possible central hypothyroidism so maybe I'm on the right track? Had this private saliva cortisol test in June and

Advice on blood results pls
Further to my previous post I had my bloods done re: possible adrenal issues / anxiety poor coping mechanisms with stress. The results are below. Levothyroxine and hydrocortisone
Hi. I have low cortisol lately. 68. I’ve been on Levothyroxine for 11 years and suddenly this year each time I take it my cortisol drops significantly causing so much weakness I can’t sit up or walk. I’ve been prescribed hydrocortisone but it s more like a sedative for me. It doesn’t pick me up. Has
