Physically cutting buprenorphine pills
After going through augmentation with pramipexole and no luck with gabapentin or lyrica, I was prescribed buprenorphine about 5 weeks ago and it has been a miracle. No RLS at all. I have found that a dose of .25 mg about 45 minutes before bed works perfectly. The problem I have is that the smallest

Brain imaging for FND?
So according to Neurosymptoms.org there is "Brain Imaging and other studies starting to show us how and why the nervous system goes wrong" (see image; screenshot from website). Has anyone experienced this as part of their diagnosis or ongoing investigation? I'm still flabbergasted after being told

Good Morning, My restless legs started in 2003 when I was pregnant with my son, after I had him they went away. Then around 2019 they came back with a vengeance. After an appointment with the Doctor I was put on Ropinirole, over the years my dose has gradually increased. I have been on 1.5mg for

Dr Glen Z brooks NYC
I met with Glen a couple of weeks ago , he is now 76 and no longer taking in new RLS patients It has become increasingly difficult for him to prescribe Buprenorphine the biggest problem is he cannot find doctors who will continue to prescribe for Buprenorphine when he is no longer working. Which treatment after dopamine agonist withdrawal?
I'm currently fighting to withdraw from dopamine agonist (DA) after a severe augmentation. I was prescribed some other drugs to help me go through this process (tramadol, pregabaline, clonazepan, wellbrutin). My plan is to get back to my pre-DA RLS baseline level, and to treat them with pregabaline only

Unexpected endometriosis
Has anyone got any advice for me please? I've just been in for a laproscopy to remove what they told me was a simple cyst on my ovary, only to find out they couldn't remove it because they found endometriosis so they have referred me to a specialist surgeon and are sending me for an MRI.The surgeon said

For those taking methadone, do you think it affects your sleep quality?
Having gotten rid of almost all (but not quite!) Mirapex nearly 2 years ago, my current meds are 0.125 mg Mirapx, 600 mg Horizant, and 10 mg methadone. Eventually I hope to taper the Mirapex to zero. I have a vulnerability to obstructive sleep apnea and once my specialist had transitioned me to increasing

Fantastic Improvement!
Wow! What a fantastic improvement there is so far and wanted to share in case it helps anyone else. Also thanks to the members in here who gave me advice. I’ve increased my gabapentin to 1500mg (600mg at 6pm/600mg at 8pm/300mg at10pm) and one 30 mg dihydrocodeine with the 10pm dose. Now getting to sleep

anticoagulants-or not..
I have read a number of articles which I think say that the protocol for when to add to the CHaDs s score for prescribing anticoagulants with AF was based on patients who were very obviously symptomatic whereas many newer patients have fewer symptoms and discover AF through smart watches / other devices

Prednisolone!
I take Pred, Methotrexate 25mg a week, Hydroxychloroquine @400mg a day, and 2700mg of Gabapentin a day. My weight has skyrocketed. I am the heaviest I have ever been in my life, and it's all down to how much junk food, chocolate and crisps I am eating. As I am also suffering from Trigeminal nerve pain

Advice needed please!
Hi all, I am 51 years old and have suffered from Endo for the past 7 years approx and had an op to remove some about 4 years ago. This seemed to help for a while but it came back as I believe is often the case. I have been on the mini pill since the op and the condition has been almost manageable and

Can't believe I did this
I've had RLS for 15 plus years, mainly being treated with Sinemet (1 tab 25/100) over the years, with Ropinirole and more painfully, Pramipexole which caused severe augmentation a year ago. Three weeks ago, I had surgery for right anterior tibial tendon repair on my right ankle BECAUSE I stretched it

Appreciate some guidance
Hello After MANY years, I am finally fully off pramipexole ...(Been nearly 2 months now). I find that the nasty augmentation symptoms that would start up early afternoon and go through the night have gradually subsided to the point where I can actually sit still and read a book or watch TV in the evening
