CSR and Latanoprost for High Pressures
I have had chronic, bilateral Central Serous Retinopathy for over four years now with retinal atrophy in my right eye as a consequence. I also tend to measure quite high for eye pressures. I haven't received any treatment for either condition to date. I have recently moved house and am now under a different

Another question for you lovely lot!!
When I first read the side effects of Prednisolone one of my many concerns was Glaucoma. I thought, how would I know if I had it. I made an appointment with an Optician (Feb 2017) and he did confirm that the pressures in both eyes were high. He referred me to the eye hospital. After lengthy tests

Prescribed Latanoprost for elevated eye pressure
I had saw my eye specialist last week and was told my eye pressure was high in my right eye. My optic nerve and field of vision show no GCA damage or effect. I’m currently on 35 mg pred, been on 40 since January. (Difficulty tapering and with my rheumy, updated post coming soon). The eye

Update 18 weeks after 2nd ozurdex
Hi guys. Had my review today. Last review showed oedema completely gone but unfortunately it hasn't lasted and the oct shows oedema has returned. Consultant thinks my condition has become chronic. I'm getting another implant in about 5 weeks and staying on the timolol drops for the raised eye pressure

Update 5weeks after 2nd ozurdex implant
Hi guys, I've had great news. My oedema is completely gone! Best result in 2 1/2yrs. I know it's still early days but I'm allowing myself a week of euphoria!!! Next review in 3 months ( apparently there has to be a 5 mnth gap before next implant if I need it). It was good to to hear consultant say I

Update on 12 week post ozurdex implant.
Hi all, well yet again I'm bucking the odds. After a good result at wk 8 Oedema is now back, IOP is reduced though (after 2wks no timolol drops). Yes, it's expected to be the other way round! Surprisingly I was given the option to go back to inj or another implant. Wasn't expecting a choice and had to

Midweek update
I don't normally post midweek for those following my mtx updates. This is more about my Uveitis in general. I've been on Pred drops now for almost 6months. Minus a verification two week break in which my inflammation was great. I went in today for a two week checkup to see how my latest flare was doing

Allergy to eye drops
Hoping someone can help me please. I am my third prescription of eye drops which I have now been using for 4 days and am finding that the side effects are becoming unbearable. I have burning, itchy, watery eyes. This has happened with my previous eyes drops, Brimonidine and Timolol. Both of which

My lab results
Here are my results. This is a followup to my earlier post: Thank you to all of you who responded. I have a followup with my ENT, who wants me to bring in the CD from the MRI. My last blood work was mid June. T4 was 9.2 and TSH was 2.030. Those were the only thyroid tests they did, I don't see a T3

Beta blockers can make you short of breath.
Using beta blockers can make breathing worse . My eye dr told me to stop my timolol eye drops that I take for glaucoma , and see if my breathing improved . Lo, and behold, I'm not so short of breath since I stopped. Many people use beta blockers for high blood pressure, so I thought I'd share this. (
