latanoprost vs timolol
My 85 year old mother has been on latanoprost for 2 months. She developed a condition where her left eye now looks inwards towards her nose. It may be palsy of the sixth nerve. Has anyone else ever had similar symptoms? Also, is anyone having good results using timolol instead? Thank you for sharing

SLT is an option?
I had tried "
Timolol
" before
Latanoprost
and experienced dizziness , so I stopped. I'm now so scared of using eye drops. I have read about SLT. Would it be an option?

Eye drops before/after SLT procedure
Previously I was prescribed
Timolol
and
Latanoprost
on separate occasions, I had a bad reactions to both of them. Latanoprost was particularly bad ( shortness of breath, chest pain, tightness of throat), ended up calling ambulance. I'm now scared to try any other eye drops.

Side Effects
Hi, I am looking for some help as hubby and I are struggling after his Trabeculectomy in March was described by his surgeon as a ‘spectacular failure’ ( his body healed the bleb and pressure went up to 60) . He’s now on Dexamethasone 4 times a day. Dorzolomide with Timolol twice a day both eyes, Iopidine

Aqueous shunt implant surgery
Hi Everyone, I have just been recommended the Aqueous shunt surgery. I have had Glaucoma for years (since 30s, now I'm in my mid 40s) and was on latanoprost and everything was working well until I had the retina detachment surgery in May and my pressure will not drop, tried various drops without much

Time between drops
I was diagnosed with glaucoma in April and am trying to get to grips with things - so apologies if this is a stupid question! I have just had my eye drops changed to Brinzolamide (twice a day) and Travoprost (once at night). Previously I was using Latanaprost only at night and Timolol only in the morning

Glaucoma eye drops
Since my diagnosis of glaucoma my eye specialist has prescribed several different types of drops. Some have interacted with other medications that I take. I am now on latanoprost but like most eye drops it can be toxic long term especially with kidney disease. Any transplant patient with glaucoma have

Use of latanoprost and azarga.
I've been on latanoprost since 2017. Two recent eye pressure tests showed a fluctuation in daytime up to 25 in one eye. The opthalmologist changed the prescription to Azarga, taken morning and night. I still have unused bottles of Latanoprost. Can l use latanoprost at night and Azarga in the morning?

Safe eye makeup
I'm a 69 y/o female taking Lumigan eye drops for dx of Glaucoma suspect and IOP (took Latanoprost drops previously but my pressure was increasing a bit so changed drops). My pressures have been pretty consistent at 17 in both eyes, so I feel pretty lucky right now. I had a S/P LPI procedure in 2012 (

Glaucoma Eye Drops and Heart Disease.
As a 75 yr old with heart disease, ( triple bypass 10yrs ago ) I’ve been diagnosed with the onset of glaucoma. I’ve been prescribed two eye drop medications. Travoprost, and Brinzolamide/Timolol Mylan. The side effects fact sheet is a pretty scary read etc, with particular emphasis on the heart. I

A few questions about being a. ‘Glaucoma suspect’
Hi, first post for me. I’ve been reading your messages since February and they have been very helpful so thank you all!! This is the rather longwinded background: My husband was picked up at a routine eye test as having some changes suggestive of glaucoma. He was seen pretty quickly (within 2-3 weeks

Lowering eye pressure
Pre trabeculectomy I was on lantoprost for 3 months and it didn’t really lower my eye pressure and for the other eye I was on it for 6 months pre surgery. Tried fixapost and Timolol briefly before surgery and i don’t think it worked. My eye pressures have gone up and the consultant has put me on monopost

heartburn on Timolol drops?
I have narrow angles, pressure 15 and had Iridotomy a few weeks ago, I was given steroid drops after and on my follow up I now have high pressure 30 which I didn't have before so consultant thinks its the steroid drops. I've finished them now and she has prescribed Timolol drops for a short time to reduce

Supplements
I was diagnosed with glaucoma in jan this year and have since lost my driving license. That is what it is, I am now on latanoprost everyday and things seem to have settled where they are. I have been looking into the supplement and vitamin side of things just to see if there is any benefit to them. I

Sore dry eyes
Good morning folks. I’ve been switched from Latanoprost to Monopost drops for both eyes. Bilateral NTG. I was getting a lot of headaches, eye pain and swelling around my right eye and a duty A&E ophthalmologist suggested I could be reacting to the preservatives in the Latanoprost drops. I’ve been on

Dorzolomide/timolol switched from drop a bottle to single unit doses
In my repeat prescriptions, I have been switched from the 5ML dropper bottle to single unit doses. I wasn’t contacted by my GP first so I have no idea why, but because they’re single unit doses and I have to use it morning and night, effectively I have only been provided with half what I usually get
